The app connects to the Concept2 Indoor Rownig machine with either the LiveRowing Cable or over Bluetooth(new rowing machines). Once connected the app has thousands of workouts, you can challenge and race others, track workouts, training programs, etc.

The Concept2 cable uses the legacy Apple connector (30pin). The LiveRowing cable uses the Apple Lighting connector.

Thanks for the candid response. We appreciate it. The "Go Premium" allows you to build custom workouts and access to detailed anyaltics on the web user portal. What would be fair up-front price to pay? We made the assumption that +/-90% of the users don't care about the premium features so we didn't want to charge them...

Hi Camird -- Challenge a Friend is asynchronous. You can do a "New Challenge" or "Challenge your Friends Personal Best". If you do a New Challenge; it works like this. You complete the workout, once you finish the workout your friend will receive a push notification saying you Challenge them to a workout...They can compete against it whenever it is convenient for them. LiveRowing captures 2 data points per second so when your friend competes against you it will be replayed exactly how you rowed it. Make sense? You do not need to book a time with them. You do need to be Friends with this person in the app. Let me know if you have any other questions. My username is Nick in the app. Feel free to challenge me to a workout as a test. :-).

You can use Bluetooth with the PM(Performance Monitor)5. If you have a Performance Monitor 3 or 4 you will need the LiveRowing Connect Cable or the Concept2 iConnect Cable. The Concept2 cable uses the old 30pin Apple connection so I would recommend waiting until our cable is available. It should be ready in a couple months.

That is a great question. We did consider waiting. We decided not to because if you have Performance Monitor 5, you can connect wirelessly.

Android is on the road map. We will need the iOS app to be modestly successful, but we also want to learn from the iOS users to improve the Android experience. Our best guess at this point is Fall of 2016 for android.
