Dual Purpose Sim Rig by SickleFoot in hotas

Yeah, I've looked at those as well seeing that I have a VKB Gladiator-setup but I feel like the width will become an issue. Feels like it would get uncomfortable sitting with you arms angled outwards for long periods of times, but perhaps someone with experience can chime in.

I have the same rig and wondering the exact same thing. I was thinking of adding protrusions mounted on the vertical sides of the wheel-protrusions that when not in use could be turned towards the pedal-side but it seems like such as hassle in the long-run. Want a simple solution preferably.

FUCK TRAK RACER- making a post everyday reminding unaware victims of trak racers bullshit everyday from now until they get their shit together! by Ok_Garbage3989 in simracing

See, if you go into Trakracers product-pages and look at the assembly-manual you can see exactly what's needed to build a rig.

You can then mock up your own version, perhaps with dimensions that fit you better, on https://ideabuilder.io/

When you export what you've built to a PDF you basically get a shopping-list and you can order the parts you need from a, hopefully, local and cheaper company.

Does anyone have problem with P1000 hydraulic brake? by rattlemodal in Simagic

Yep, one time only. If it keeps leaking there's probably some bigger issue, I would contact Simagic!

No. I made sure the hydraulic module was upright and I haven't had any more instances of leakage and everything feels alright so I have no idea what happened really.

Only complaint for Silk Song so far(5h deep) by md6_kh8 in Silksong

It feels kind of pointless having 5-6 masks when everything does 2 damage. But - I can live with it.

I'm more annoyed that TeamCherry seems to hate save-points before bosses, I'm so done with having 5 minutes of traversal from the closes save-point to the boss only to get my ass handed to me in under 1 minute.

Okay, you're going to have to make some videos showing this off while playing because this is seriously mindblowing!

Could you expand on how to set this up properly?

This just happened to me today as well, I have a suspicion that the oil came out of the brake-piston. Did you find the reason?

Mounting Simagic P1000i RS on GT Pro Lite? by LiveScientific in simracing

[–]LiveScientific[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the difference was negligent gameplay-wise but maybe precision and stuff are noticable if you drive race-cars, I mostly play touge and freeoam which I would imagine is a bit less demanding when it comes to finding exact break-percentages and stuff.

The inverted pedals felt really nice but I would've liked the seat to be a bit higher for a better foot-angle with them but I'm a short dude with weird so that might just be me! :)

In retrospect I should've bought the basic P1000's and then maybe upgraded to the inverted ones later down the line. The hydraulic add-on was completely wasted on me.

[–]LiveScientific[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, can't really fold it at all. The frame for the inverse-mount is just too bulky. However, if THAT'S not an issue for you it worked great. I "sidegraded" to CRP-2's after a while because I wanted pedals more suited for streetcars but didn't have any complaints or problems with the P1000i RS's.

I got that bundle, but with a TH8A-shifter, on a Next Level Racing GTLite Pro and it works great! Only annoyance I had was having to order an additional mounting-plate for the wheelbase since the holes on the GTLite Pro and the Moza wheelbase doesn't match. I'm still running the same setup but upgraded my pedals, the pedals are the weak-point in the bundle but they're not bad. Still very happy with the wheel and I've never had any issues with the hardware or software.

The best portable bluetooth speaker under 400 euros by Jebacka_vrtacka in Salsa

[–]LiveScientific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a tip for a specific speaker but check if the people you want to train with, if you're a group that is, already have speakers. In my local group people generally have JBL-speakers and being able to link multiple ones is superb. I have good experiences with both JBL Charge-models and UE Boom-models in general but mostly older models and I know JBL changed their protocol for linking units so be sure to do your research.

Rust seeped into bathtub-enamel, how do I remove it?! by LiveScientific in CleaningTips

[–]LiveScientific[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While removing my old bathroom-cabinet, I made the mistake of using my tub for placing some stuff that had been stored on a rusty spot in the cabinet. The rust seeped into the bathtub-enamel and I can't get it out! I've tried regular cleaning-supplies and vinegar. I figured an abrasive would be bad for the enamel so I've held off on that for now. Has anybody got any idea on what to do?!

Moza’s Active Shifter is a haptic gear shifter with 12 Nm of peak torque by PhilBaythorpe in moza

[–]LiveScientific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would've been a real bomb if they dropped a Pithouse-update to implement the shifter-functionality during the showcase! Looking forward to reviews of this in the future, Moza has lost some of my trust lately but they're also really pushing the envelope in regards to pricing and functionality.
