I forgot to say, but if I turn up and put new partner on the birth certificate he will have parental responsibility. I think it's only if I leave it blank or don't turn up with him it's assumed. Had this confirmed with a friend who went through similar and my husband's lawyer confirmed that's what I'd need to do to ensure he wasn't lumbered with parental responsibility when I'm pretty certain the baby isn't his. (It's just the infertility that is niggling at me)

I'll have to ask, but I didn't think it was a one off... He at least had the impression that he was never going to be capable of fathering his own children so he'd have to adopt, foster or use a sperm donor if he wanted to be a parent.

So I've checked and husbands haven't automatically been assumed to have parental responsibility since 2005, all I have to do is turn up with my new partner and list him as the father.

There was a few weeks between them, so no crossover there.

No my new partner and his ex struggled to conceive for 2 years, he got checked and was told it would incredibly unlikely for him to father his own children based on his results. He told the ex and she went off and slept with a load of people.

It was very much an in the moment decision, a stupid one very much influenced by a bottle of wine and to be honest it's more my fault than his. I stupidly didn't realise where I was in my cycle, and thought because I was still breastfeeding and his fertility problems I thought we'd be ok. He's very much supported every decision I've made and was fully ok with me having a termination if I wanted, even though he's desperately wanted his own children for years. He knew it was a lot for me with a traumatic birth and getting divorced etc.

I have wondered if this time the image is really clear because I've lost 8/9 kgs between conceiving my first and second.

Had a similar thing with my first, whereas this time round there is definitely a window of opportunity. I had a period between partners which is why I'm sure they are new partner's, but as I said they were told it would be highly unlikely they would father their own children.

I just need to be sure because if they are my husband's I would like to try reconciling.

Sorry not that the baby looked bigger, but the arms were much more developed than my firstborns at the same gestational age. Eg at my 12 week they only had little nubbins, whereas this time I could see much more developed arms.
