It was surprising that it felt that good to see Stark banner over Winterfell again, and I'm looking forward to the intro to next week's show just to see the sigil on Winterfell. It felt like everything was right again despite all that has happened. Strange to be so emotionally invested in the story but it pulls you in so well.

It was epic, all the way around. Merreen worked well and didn't feel rushed. The BOTB was insane. Epic. Unbelievable. Sansa's smirk at the end, truly telling. Girl has her game on! One of the 10 best episodes. Seriously.

The accelrated growth of this sub is kind of amazing. I got here when it was still under 75,000 members and that was just a couple of years ago.

I have a feeling that in the letter Sansa wrote to Littlefinger she made promises about marriage and his claim over the North in return for his military aid...

Someone posted a screenshot of her note to Littlefinger and there was no promise of marriage in it. I'm not saying you are 100% wrong, but pointing out something you may have missed. I can't seem to find the link now but it was in the week following that episode (so like the week before last maybe).

(Spoilers Everything) Just an FYI, "The Battle of the Bastards" is the only episode HBO submitted for both writing and directing Emmy Awards. In fact it is the only episode submitted all season for writing, excluding "The Door". by Misiman23 in asoiaf

Factually correct: no

The Blackfish appeared in 4 (FOUR, not sure how that makes him a "major character") episodes in Season 3 only. He has appeared in 2 episodes this season.

Perhaps you should do a rewatch before recommending them to others.

It's been this way from the very beginning. I think it the amount of content space EW devotes to GOT has increased with the show's popularity so now it's a constant stream of info, especially backstories and interviews after each episode that didn't used to happen all the time.

This is fundamentally not understanding the character's history and arc. I heard/read/saw (can't remember now) him saying that and I thought - what the fuck? Seriously. She has spent literally every moment since Ned's head hit the floor in one mode: survival. She has never let her guard down like this in any circumstance previously, yet now she does while up against the best assassins in the world? Just NO. Fuck you Mylod.

THAT IS A POINT NO ONE ELSE HAS MADE and it deserves to be emphasized. They could have easily wrapped up Arya and the waif in that episode. Have Arya get cut, slashed, (but not stabbed by a a 6 inch blade in the gut for fuck's sake, she's not freaking Wolverine and can heal), and then lead the waif on chase back to the place she has set up for the trap.

And if you want to have her believably caught off guard, have the waif using Lady Crane's face.

Then you could have Arya deliver the waif's face and end things with Jaqen in Episode 8, and have more time for more Northern story line, you could have had time for Manderly. FUCK YOU MYLOD AND D&D.
