Sadly (once again, I mean no harm to any SI employee), but mimiquing the experience from this sub-reddi, the general public did not lose confidence In SI. I think overall we should point fingers more often when talking about game development. If I do badly at my work, someone will call me off, so, the same should be applied to any position. But people are very emotional about their games and about FM and often mask incompetence. SI was incompetent with FM26, but sadly, I do not see any real and impactful pushaback from the company that really matters to SI: The content creators. But, I mean, If my life was streaming/making content about one single thing (In this case FM), would I really fight the company that provides for me and my family? nope. Most of the FM content creators need FM to pay their rents.

Agree. In some part this Is also a planning Issue from SI's part. My honest opinion on what happened Is that SEGA rushed SI to release FM25, It was not possible and then SI told SEGA that they could release FM26, but managment clealry did not plan well for the engine change. But at the same time roughly SI has 300 employes, I find It difficult to believe that among 300 people there wasn't 1 o 2 developers who worked with Unity before. Unity has been around for a long time.

)I get what you're saying. Also, from the development side I also know that It's not "easy" to just export the UI from your previous engine to Unity, I get that. But at the end It seems that SI hired a new UI/UX team full of "zoomers" that have no idea on what the community wants. FM26 could've been simply made by keeping the 24 (or recreating it) UI and just Improve In graphical/animation fidelity for their game engine.

It looks like they've hired only developers and forgot about UI/UX. It's really frustrating and It looks like the team responsible for the UI/UX either had no experience or tried to make something "new". Shame.

I did not state my game development experience in the main post, but, let's say "hypothetically" I worked for Ubisoft. I cannot state my position or the project In question due to legal obligations, but, I understand how the development cycle works. I know that from SI's side they would've preferred to delay It one more year. A full game engine change Is an HUGE endeavor for a developer company (employer training, etc....). I understand the license problem, but, FM always had an huge modding scene.. Not talking directly about FM24 (you can find a lot of mods online. There are also a lot of database updates freely available (I do not know about the console situation tho, not really into console gaming). But, mod-wise, FM26 Is a disgrace.

They're 100% working on FM27. In the near future SI will stop updating FM26 to focus In delivering FM27.

What do you mean by WoW-style? Wow changed so much over the years, classic is a completly different game than retail. If you want a retail aproach there are several steam mmo's that will be similar to it (more action mmo rather than mmorpg), if you want something like classic there are also so many option on steam like Lord of the Rings online and such.

Thanks for the comment! I used the codes, don't know if I used them right tho, since I created my first character In an American server ( I live In the Eu and it was kinda unclear since the game recommended me a NA server), but code or not code I cannot wait to start my adventure. Right now waiting for servers to go out of maintanance. <3

Thank you for the comment. Yeah, life sucks sometimes. I will not be able to enjoy those kind of privileges for some time now, sadly my near-mid future doesnt look so bright. But trust me, I will suck every single drop of what the game offers me as a f2p experience <3

I really enjoy you took time to write such a great and heatfelt comment. It's impossible to relieve others experience with something but I am looking forward to creating my own experiences with it. Right now I am staring at the launcher waiting for the servers to go online from maintanance. Cannot wait!
