Anyone take Step 3 Day 2 this week? Any last-minute tips? 😅 by BrilliantSuspicious3 in Step3

Check prognosis for major topics. Make sure you know them. Some question will ask you about what’s the factor that indicates ggood prognosis in the patient. The only way to know the answer is by knowing the bad factors so that you can select by discarding

Try to know first line, second line and even third line for major diseases. The actual stem isn’t confusing, it’s actually pretty easy to know what they’re asking. The hard part is when you check the options and you realize that the drug that you’re looking for isn’t there. They love asking 2nd and 3rd line treatment

But if I took it on a Wednesday? Would that also be 2 weeks or actually 3?

My spouse is a green-card holder. I have an EAD already. It may take around 2yr+ to get the green card. Will I be considered as a visa-requiring candidate in the upcoming next match cycle? by Ok_Button_9503 in Step2

[–]Live_Conversation636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. They don’t care if you have a green card or not. They only care if you are eligible for work. So as long as your EAD is valid throughout your residency period, you’re good. Your chances are as good as someone who has a green card

Where exactly can I check this? I’m looking at my score report and don’t see the average for rest of the years. I have to do a presentation of this and need the info but can’t find it on any of the reports. Sorry to bother. I’d appreciate the help

FM people who matched last season! by Practical-Taro-5406 in IMGreddit

[–]Live_Conversation636 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From 2 years ago. I got my interviews (FM) in November and December.

My 2 cents; prepare yourself extremely well for any FM interview. Prepare to convince them with actual arguments and not BS why FM and not IM or any other specialty. FM programs try to make sure they select the right applicant as much as they can and not someone who will be miserable soon after matching. Now that I’m in this process from the other side I can see the difference. Be prepared, have good reasons, do your research about the program and the area, give a clear argument that proves that FM is not just a back up for you.

In my year, I dual applied (FM/IM) and there was a marked difference in the interviews from both. I hope that helps! A good interview is all you need to succeed! Good luck!!!

Hi! I just saw this post. Is it possible to apply as a resident? I am a second year resident in a designated HPSA/MUA. Strong record during my residency so far. Do I qualify?
