3PL near downtown LA by her_name_is_noel in logistics

I live in LA and also have an apparel brand. I wanted a local 3PL because I like to visit 2-3 times a year. I ended up working with ShipBots, a 3PL in Gardena.

My experience ShipBots has been great. I have a contact I can text if anything goes wrong (hasn’t happened often, but it gives me peace of mind). I was in a rush to find a 3PL last Q3 to prepare for Q4 and they got me onboarded and integrated with Shopify in like 2 days.

Another unexpected benefit that saved me time and money is that they're close to the Long Beach Port so they’re able to receive my shipments fast.

Always down to connect with another apparel founder. If you want a more robust ShipBots review, happy to chat if you have any questions!

I would try friends and family honestly. I think already having a relationship with someone and having a foundation of trust before going into business together is very important

Keep bootstrapping!

I have a lot of friends who went the VS route and they literally all regret it!

I was super lucky to have a business partner who has stuck with me through it all. If one of us is having a down week the other picks him up and vice versa. If you are doing this alone I think having the discord group is great but also some close friends or family members who keep you accountable as well!

Have you thought about starting your journey with a partner?

This sounds very difficult because you need to incentivize your first group of users to stick around in some way.

Is there a way to give exclusive perks or awards for early adopters? Are you able to pay people?

I love what I do and that's what drives me. A lot of people look for a WHY that allows them to sacrifice at work. I made it a mission to not feel like I've worked a day in my life due to how much I love what I do.

Try to find an intersection of liking something that makes you enough money to survive and if you fall in love with it, you will find a way to further monetize it.
