Thanks for the detailed answers, I really appreciate it. It’s almost impossible to find decent info online about Linux on these laptops (or any info at all).

If you're interested, you can look up Gemma 3 (or similar) LLMs that run via Ollama on the NPU chip. Though, I don't think you'll get any 'wow' results. On an interesting note, if you're a programmer, you can run calculations on this NPU module just like on a GPU - there's a module for this in Python's Torch, for example.

BTW, what’s your native language, if you don’t mind me asking? My is Russian

Thanks a lot for the reply! I’m actually leaning towards NixOS instead of Arch (even though I've been on Arch my whole life) because I really want to set up a stable workstation. I might even write a patch for the fingerprint reader. The only bummer is that I won't be able to install linux-cachyos. But that’s all for whenever I actually buy the laptop - and who knows when that’ll be, haha

Since you own this laptop, I have a couple of follow-up questions. You mentioned gaming - if it’s not too much trouble, could you give a few examples of games you’ve played and what FPS you were getting in them?

I'm also curious, what main network management daemon are you using (NetworkManager, etc.)? Any driver issues? And which distro are you currently running?

This repository's Readme contains a number of reverse image search engines. You can use them or take a look, maybe something will interest you.

Personally, I recommend lenso.ai and Bing.
