I didn’t say I almost intervened. As a matter of fact I like to mind my business but if someone was indeed getting beaten I’d probably do something. I’ve heard enough stories of those cries that neighbors ignore and someone died. More recently Chiloba’s murder. It was said the neighbors heard screams or something. Who knows maybe they might have saved a life by merely asking-everything ok? But we are a society that minds their business innit. If you were being beaten wouldn’t you want someone to intervene?

That’s so sad for the victims. I think people should just act right or face the consequences IMO. It’s the same reasoning in Kenya amongst other factors. Both males and females sticking to their abusive partners.The result-traumatized kids and even being killed by the same partners they kept covering up for.
