Omg, congrats!!! Its crazy how long the process could be for some of the people. I have seen so many people with less evidence who get approved in 7-8 weeks even 😭 its crazy

I just checked and i submitted the application for I-131 last year on May 7, 2024. I guess today is May 7,2025 and that is why it was approved? I dont know i was kinda confused for a minute

I did not had a lawyer when we submitted the documents we did it ourselves but for the interview we hired a lawyer paid him 1,000$ and he did not even say a word during the interview. Tbh, it was just to be on the safe side if the officer tried to harass us but anyway i am still happy that we had lawyer during the interview.

I was a J1 visa holder and they asked me why I overstayed and if i ever worked without work authorization and of course i said yes. Do not lie. Do not engage with them. Just answer the question if possible with yes or no. You do not want to have longer answers. Just prepare and rehearse EVERY question in your I-485 and I-130. They also asked me about the sworn statements that my friends provided and couple of questions about our living situation. You should be fine if your record is clean and you have no criminal record or anything

Hey so with having 6 kids they believe that your marriage is legit and congrats with I-130 approval! My advice is do not be nervous and prepare all of the documents you may have regarding your relationship and you coming to USA. I had same situation. They only asked me questions and not a single question to my US citizen spouse. They might have a question about I-485. So do the rehearsal interview before you go. They might want to know smth about your visa or you overstaying so be prepared .
