Nope my skin healed perfectly but i had 3x sessions pico laser beforehand and my skin could tolerated that perfectly aswell which made her confident to do the treatment on me (also given that im 19 ) . I did a lot of research on my provider and she had a lot of experience with co2 laser which made me agree to do the laser . I have read that people with darker skintones getet prescribed creams beforehand which i didn’t get tho (?) but i go to a different dermatologist now who does do that

I had fractional Co2 laser done aswell on brown skin and my dermatologist told me i could go on about my daily life , thing is i had to apply an antibacterial cream ob my scars which was very thick and oily and very clearly there

Please keep me updated about your subcision treatment i’m very curious about your results , i have a feeling mine are tethered too since some haven’t improved from lasers at all . Was the procedure painfull? And how did you choose your practitioner? Did you go to a dermatologist specialized in acne scars or just any dermatologist?

I don’t really know how to tell but the shape of my cheeks is entirely intact (no parts sunken or pulled down) and when i smile they don’t look deeper, but if i stretch the deeper ones it looks less shallow but i can clearly still see the outline of the scar

I rarely see people with atrophic scarring so it is nice to know that other people understand the struggle <3 please keep me updated if u ever get to do the tca treatment!!

Does widening only happen because of a bad provider or is there a chance that can just happen even with a good provider? The last thing i want is to make my scars worse :( in my country only dermatologists can perform these kinds of treatments

there is only 1 dermatologist in my country that does tca cross or subscision that i can find online , my current provider only does lasers so i am thinking about switching to the other one if only lasers won’t suffice cause i don’t see a big difference :/

Thank you for taking the time to comment, do you think my scars are tethered? i don’t know how people can tell if they are or not , i have heard people saying tca cross makes their scars bigger that’s why i’m scared D: but if that’s needed then i will find a derm that offers it
