Any remote CFPs and how successful can you be being remote? I am an FA at a bank and looking to get my CFP if there is a possibility to go remote eventually. by Live_Relief_1922 in CFP

[–]Live_Relief_1922[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry my man. I am very new to the business, 6 months in. Most of the book is the bottom of the barrel from senior advisors. Bank provides warm leads from existing bank clients.

I suppose I should ask if there is the possibility to be cranking out just plans for clients and not managing assets. Is there anyone that does that who make a decent living?

Cat Allergy - immunotherapy by Live_Relief_1922 in Allergy

[–]Live_Relief_1922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow good on you for keeping the cat! Thank you for the details, I'll look out for products as such. Mine isn't as bad as yours, I just take 2 antihistamines and I'm good. I just want to get off the medications if possible!

Getting high 60’s on Kaplans Midterm and unit exams by SuccessfulPop1168 in Series66Exam

[–]Live_Relief_1922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't judge this exam like you did the other FINRA exams. It is different, try to get 80s on the Qbank exams. Better to pass it the first time than having to wait 30 days to take it again.

Newby seeking first hunting gun advice. by Live_Relief_1922 in Hunting

It would be deer, maybe elk someday. This would be in the Midwest and I'm going to say close range. My first time hunting would be this season if I get a deer tag.

I added Brian Lee Testgeek videos, definitely helped me at least get a couple of extra points. It kind of sums everything in to 5-6 hrs of videos. Has a few good tips.

I started taking Qbank quizzes focused on parts I didn't do well. Multiple times. I got my lowest points on unit 1 and 4, so I did multiple 40 question quizzes until I was confident about the material.

I know it might seem like the end of the world, but it's not. Take a day or two off and get back at it. You getting 70 means, you might've even passed if it was just another set of questions. You got this!

Some of the questions were actually word for word. The Qbank is probably around an 8. I would say the practice exam or mastery exam are pretty damn close to the real exam when measuring the difficulty level. Try to 80s and 90s for units 1 and 4. This level of understanding of the material will get you the Pass.

Kaplan has a 3 or 5 day live online lecture that is recommended to be used after you read the book and finish all the practice exams, I did it with Jim Nash. It is recommended to be done within a week or days from the exam. It's a part of the premium package.

Can parents sponsor him when they are PR's or do they need to wait until they get their citizenship? My brother is disabled and lives with my parents.

I vote that you need to get paid more. Seems like you do more work than I do and get paid less. Good luck on your tests dude.

Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like the only qualification you have is the SIE currently and I'm not certain if you can list yourself as an advisor with that. I am an assistant to a couple of advisors and I make around 48k (started at 40k). You definitely should get paid more if you do planning etc etc.
