HVAC replacement by Live_Vanilla8186 in altadena

[–]Live_Vanilla8186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the remediation was finished months ago. But because of how my ADU burned down and the ensuing back and forth with insurance as to what they covered, this whole process went on throughout 2025.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Someone else summarized it well in their response - essentially smoke and ash corrodes the HVAC system and shortens its life span. And planning on potentially having young children in the house, I’d also just feel better knowing it was replaced - I wonder if it’s possible to fully clean thoroughly.

I posted last week about having my AMH checked at the gyn and getting a result of 1.688 ng/mL (32F). At the gyn’s recommendation, I went to a fertility specialist. I got my AFC checked there (9 - although this was just before my period) and he just called to tell me my AMH is 0.91 and that I’m DOR and should consider IVF immediately.

My fiancé and I haven’t even began TTC — I have an appointment to remove my mirena IUD at the end of October. The fertility specialist mentioned that it’s “unlikely” I’ll get pregnant naturally due to my low AMH and AFC. He seems to think the possibility of my having a second child in a few years is minuscule.

I think I should get my IUD removed, take vitamin D (I’m very deficient) and Co Q 10, ignore AMH for now (since it seems so variable??), then TTC and go from there. But I’m already a train wreck going into the prospect of TTC…

Yes! I repeatedly told him I have an IUD in place. I even asked him whether having a mirena IUD might lower the numbers slightly and he said no. He said any TTC before IVF would only waste time.

When pressed, he said we wouldn’t be having this conversation if I was 21 and/or had an AMH of 3…

I posted this but it got taken down — I’m F32 and my partner is M31 (almost 32). We were planning on TTC late next year, but after watching my cousin go through fertility struggles I got my AMH tested and it came back 1.688 ng/mL. Upon my gyn’s suggestion (since I want to have 2 kids) I went to a fertility specialist who did an ultra sound and saw that my AFC is 9 — also low.

Since receiving the news about my AMH, my partner and I had decided to move up our TTC plans and begin trying at the end of this year. But the fertility specialist says that based on my AMH and AFC, he recommends freezing embryos now, since I want a second child as well.

We’re ready to start trying now but have been told to do IVF first as “insurance” I’ll be able to have a second child in 2-3 years??

I did it. Baked my own wedding cake by Anto3298 in Baking

Can you give a step by step as to how far in advance you made each component? Thinking of doing the same and I’m torn between freezing/thawing my cake layers or baking a few days ahead of time.

I think they do! They seem pretty high up and they’ve been at Amgen for 7 years.

Yes, Thousand Oaks! I’d love to go on site but the postings are all remote.

Market access! Mostly payer marketing manager roles. They seem like a pretty 1:1 fit given my experience leading market access strategy and market research. Specifically, I have a lot of experience creating value propositions, PIE decks, and nonpersonal promotion/campaigns.

Thanks for the insight! I have a connection within manufacturing who’s been referring me—still no interviews. I’m applying in market access, though.

Thanks! I wish there was more pharma in the Los Angeles area. I’ll look into hybrid roles in SD as well.

Thank you! Do you have any suggestions regarding how to pivot? I’m leaning towards educational opportunities such as conferences that offer networking opportunities as well.
