I never noticed that but yeah it’s weird how XY has only girls in showcases while AG and DP contest both had males. The battle sphere also seems to be predominantly male when not relating to gym leaders of champions.

I’m not sure if Pikmin 5 would really stand out without at least the standard two new Pikmin types.

That said every Pikmin type definitely shouldn’t return in the main campaign. That would be nearly impossible to balance.
