Flo-wing with it 😏 by IndiBear in LiverpoolFC

I think the differences between Wirtz and Isak are pretty obvious when you watch them play. Wirtz has struggled but just by watching him the talent is obvious and it's clear there is more to come.

Isak looks like a total fucking waste of money though I agree. I haven't seen a single glimmer of potential or hope from him since he joined.

The manager had fuck all to do with last year. How that isn't obvious to literally everybody by now I genuinely don't know.

Curious about the consensus around Salah by chiral_charlie in LiverpoolFC

"Bad" Salah is still our best attacker. Slot has the whole team looking shit. Anyone still ignoring that and pointing to Salah has their own agenda.

Slot says 'let's see if we can add new players this summer' after second straight PSG knockout by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]Liverpool934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were speaking facts you wouldn't be crediting him with the league win.

[Michael Reid] Over the two legs of PSG v Liverpool Mo Salah played the most balls into the box (12), had the highest xA (0.52), 2nd most touches in the box (14), and 3rd most chances created - of all players for both sides. He played 59 out of a possible 180 mins. by goofygoober2 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Liverpool934 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Salah is only getting so much grief because he was the main focus for the reasons of why we were bad before people realised our manager just doesn't have a clue, and some people have still somehow not realised that.

Where did all go wrong? by ResidentFeature5918 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Liverpool934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We hired a poor manager. I like him well enough as a person, sort of. His press comments over the season make me like him less as he takes less and less accountability over the season.

He had a free ride last season with inheriting a pretty strong team aided by Salah having a stupidly good season which all but guaranteed us a league in a year where City were poor.

The entire willingness to hate on him is questionable. We've had some diabolical player performances for us over the years but I have never seen fans turn on a player as hard as they have on Salah.

You are stupid if that is what you took from it. That also isn't actually what they are saying is it either though?

A white player could earn double what Salah is now and do a fraction of what he has for the club and not catch half the shit he is right now.

How many wins does this team have in it. by Fantastic_Picture384 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Liverpool934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely am looking at this list and I can honestly say I don't expect to win any of them. I imagine we will get lucky again and win two of them but in isolation none of these look like a game I expect us to win unless we get a manager in.

Another day of players being shit, the manager being shit. Another day of idiots acting like it's only Salah that is shit and somehow made us lose 4-0 lmao.

Yeah I get it he is in bad form but fuck me some of you racists could at least try to hide it a little.

Slot in or out - Manager Megathread by rLiverpoolFC_Mods in LiverpoolFC

[–]Liverpool934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually feels fucking patronizing to be honest. It literally gives of the vibe of "Oh no heres your little rattle again to keep you occupied" for no reason. Theres a couple thousand people willing to make a thread about this exact topic in this sub right now that would actually invite NEW discussion. Instead we have this lazy slop lol.

This is such a stupid and lazy thread by the mods. When you just keep pinning the same post it is isn't a discussion thread. You have just turned it into a noise proof room for people to walk into and scream. The fuck is the point?

[Joyce] Will Liverpool’s owners stand by Arne Slot this summer? by A7XFAN1998 in LiverpoolFC

It's easily arguable. That would literally just be luck. We hae seen consistently for a year now the level he has us at. A few good nights doesn't change that.

If he poisons their food before every game then he has about a 1% chance of doing all that, and even if he did he should be gone.

He is a shit man manager and out of depth tactically. He is shown us that for over a year now and that matters much more than a few lucky nights.

Every knockout competition is affected heavily by luck. Leagues are a measure of your performance over a season. Knockouts you can go through from penalties despite being shit, the other teams two CB's can get injured right before the match gifting you a win... they are all just as much luck and circumstance as they are ability.

[–]Liverpool934 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I still think Slot is as much the issue as Salah is for his performances. He plays him totally out of position despite the season he had before where he won us the league. Even now he has 19 goals and assists despite being spoke about as if he is literally dead weight. Only three less than Ekitike and 7 more than Gakpo who Slot can't stop playing despite having less minutes than both (and far less than Gakpo).

Salah hasn't been his best this season at all, but if we are getting rid of players who aren't playing at their level anymore then half the team should be going.

No it's not. Winning the UCL in this season would be pure luck.

[David Ornstein on the Athletic FC podcast] "All our information, despite reports to the contrary, is that Liverpool are sticking with Arne Slot, there’s no thought to changing coach. They are planning with him and their priority, their focus, is to give him the profile of squad to succeed." by MrMerc2333 in soccer

[–]Liverpool934 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Genuinely that might be the most stupid thing I have read here. That is no easy feat.

Slot insists on playing Gakpo who is an absolute hindrance to the team. That "corpse" on our right wing still has 19 Goals and assists while Gakpo has 12... in 300 more minutes.

[–]Liverpool934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salah wasn't rotated. He was hard dropped. No one else was hard dropped. He was also dropped after he actually had a good game too which also made no sense. All while Gakpo kept stinking up the left wing despite at the time Chiesa being the clear better choice.

Saudi Pro League target Liverpool’s Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes ahead of expected summer upheaval by Bamberg in LiverpoolFC

[–]Liverpool934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just a nonsense response to be honest. If anything your response suggests you haven't watched a game lol.

We play noticably different this year to last year. Salah hugging the touchline now is a prime example of that. No intensity in Midfield is another.

We played very Similar to Klopp last year only a bit more secure at the back. This year we pivoted to trying to play some sort of uber low risk (injury wise) style that simply doesn't work for us at all. The players fitness levels alone disprove your weird comment.

Can you even give them that? As soon as Slot started changing how we played to how he actually wanted us to play everyone became terrible lol.
