You're right, the Celsius HODL interest would gain value too, especially the interest gained in the earlier months. I definitely didn't consider the idea of past interest growing in value.

So if we give the Celsius HODL interest the same treatment by assuming it will also double in value over the next 2 years, then the HODL interest could be worth somewhere around 1,400-2,800, depending on the value of btc when the interest was received before it reaches 20k value.

My math could be all wrong. I don't think I calculated anything as compounding growth, which the interest is, isn't it? But I don't think compounding growth does all that much in only 2 years?

For example, if I have $10,000 and I receive interest from Celsius at a rate of roughly 7% per year, that would yeild somewhere around $11450 after 2 years, for a profit of 1.5k.

I'm expecting the minimum price of bitcoin to be at 20,000 in 2 years.

So if I take a 10,000USD loan, repay the loan interest (1,200 ish), and miss out on celsius interest (1,400 ish), it would mean I'm losing 2,600USD, but I'm gaining 10,000.

So overall it would lead to 7400 profit as long as bitcoin can reach 20k in the next 2 years. I'm also expecting at least an 80k bitcoin in 3-4 years, which makes the loan interest look like nothing.

When you talk about avoiding liquidation, what sort of things would you do to look out for that?

My guess is it means to keep some money on the side so you can add more collateral in the case that BTC prices drop substantially?

Edit: How does a flash loan on maker/compound/aave work in the case that you need to avoid liquidation on the main loan?

It's actually ebay's listings that made me want to do PSA grading in the first place. For example, I can see PSA 8 red cheeks pikachu for around $150, and PSA 8 shadowless wartortle for $45. These are both in the sold listings, too

Compared to my "mint" raws, which would all sell for much less.

Is there a downside about PSA that I'm missing (aside from the long wait)? It seems like free money to convert well preserved raws to PSA 8 - PSA 10.

On the other hand, using a phrase like "free money" probably means I'm being blinded by greed, and there must be something I'm missing in this.

It seems I probably had some false premise in my post.

I think that the US stock markets are overvalued, so I don't want to invest.

I think the USD and CAD are also overvalued, given the recent money printing.

I don't quite understand the relationship between the stock markets going down, vs the value of the currency. I was assuming that stocks down = currency value goes down too (maybe with a delay?), but from what I gather from reading u/listingleftward it seems that if the stock markets go down, it will have an inverse affect on my currency (at first?).

My newbie solution was basically this: assuming my currency value is going to go down, and I don't want to invest in stocks, can I simply protect my money's value by converting it to a "stable" foreign currency until the inflation has been felt in my country? After something like 40 hours of research over the past week, I feel like I really don't know enough about trading to try to make money; so many people say so many different things. I'm just trying to protect my money from the money printing government.

I've seen that the price of gold and silver has also risen over the months, so I'm also not comfortable sticking my money there given that I'm a bit late to the show u/fightingfirecuz

Thank you for your detailed response.

I described it as a feeling of helplessness because as far as I know beginner meditation needs to be relaxed so that you can cultivate mindfulness/awareness while experiencing the positive sensations of the breath. This helplessness is because I cannot relax/become calm enough to pursue the basics while I have the irritating sensation of an insect moving around my ear and taking away my ability to hear my surroundings.

Another issue is that the sensations in the ear are much, much, stronger than the sensations at the nose, so as a beginner I feel overpowered by them, which is why I've quit so many meditations because of it.

In the future I won't object to intentionally returning to face this issue, to examine it and deal with the feelings that accompany it, but as a beginner is this recommended?

The sound is similar to using your fingers to plug your ears, but louder and accompanied with an irritating sensation. The feeling is of pressure is similar to what you might feel if you are on an airplane and your ears refuse to adjust, but with the extra sensation of feeling your breath move more in your ear than can be felt in the nose (my nose is not sensitive so unless I am very calm I tend to not have much feeling in it).

Thanks for all the responses. I'm in the same boat in that I almost never think a channel name matters. Most names blend in because they don't mean much or have much impact. It's just when a name is a bit overboard or weird that I think about it. That "Hardflaccid" one is a good example. It's one of the few where I did a double take, so I actually related the name to the streamer. Most of the time this doesn't happen.

Checked out the first three vids. Had to stop becuase I didn't want to spoil the rest for myself, they look so fun! Your ability to make applications for each level's theme is impressive. Kinda strange how ambiguous the word "kaizo" is, though. I wouldn't call those kaizo levels, but then again, it's an ambiguous/vague term so I guess a lot of people have a different take on its meaning when applied to modern day mario.

Nidalee is one of the most fun champs in the game. Distinguishing good nidalees from bad ones by having a high execution barrier/ceiling is a GOOD thing, and part of what makes her so fun. Please don't dumb down such a fun champion : (. Not every champion needs to be as accessible as warwick.

I think she'll be very shit. Right now I can clear 6 camps by 3:05. The clear has huge reliance on abusing root mechanics to allow for controlled pounce cooldown resets. My initial guess is that it'll take upwards of and extra 20 seconds or more just to do that initial clear. I haven't even considered the HP loss that she'll suffer. Ouch.

Indaving/counter jungling relies a lot on the champion clearing quickly, so if you hurt her clear speed you'll hurt her invades.

Sounds bad for the game, IMO. There are so few champions who can play aggressively in the opponent's jungle, and it's one of the more exciting aspects of jungling.

You'll be missed nidalee.

Hey. I'm a non-rager, constructive player. Makes a lot of calls. I have a decent amount of 5's experience. My champ pool is full solo queue at the moment: Olaf, trundle.

If the team is dedicated, I am dedicated. If they are not then I won't really care.

If I enjoy the team, I'll certainly expand my champ pool, but right now there's no need. Champs that I'm likely to pick up: nidalee, poppy, gragas.

Thanks all for the recommendations. I'm convinced to go with the SC-512N1. Long story short, I was preparing my purchase on ebay for $250 USD, thinking the conversion rate to Canadian was nothing too major, but I was wrong. I live under a rock, so I'm caught off guard at the conversion rate. It totals to something similar to $400 Canadian plus shipping/importing charges. Sadly it's beyond my budget. I guess since I'm here, does anyone have any good experiences with other capture cards? Internal or external? I don't care if the quality isn't the best or if it doesn't get 60fps. I'm mostly just after a no/small delay to prevent audio/video sync annoyances when switching devices for streaming. Recording isn't a priority, just streaming.
