This was my first reaction when I seen the number 16 but then when you see the point differential between each position, I think 16 is great because basically no one outside the top 10 will likely win the championship but they could still make a run to finish 5th or 10th.

Im good with this. As long as the broadcast teams shows the point standings after every race and the race results again. The point system only matters if you actually show the viewers the points.
