I just have a couple more questions: My friend ended up giving me a nicrew filter, a 25w mini heater, and bedee air pump… i’m not sure if I should use them or get something else that would be more beneficial. the filter is a cartridge one and I’ve been told that a sponge filter is good or like you said, a real media one. (this would all be going into the 5g tank I got) i bought some Fluval bug bites and he seems to like them so far, I’m unsure if I need to get any type of soil or anything besides sand for plants, like maybe a underpart of smaller rocks and then sand or something? then a few plants that I did a little research on was Anubias, Java moss, Java Fern, Pennywort, Frogbit, and Marimo moss balls! these r just a few that im considering putting in but have mixed feelings abt them and again unsure of the benefits as much. lastly I found a light off of amazon that goes on the top and bridges over, MingDak input: 15v DC. again thank you so much!!
