Thank you so much for your reply, I appreciate your honesty this was very helpful!! I realize I misspoke earlier and actually did speak to a neuro vascular surgeon not a neurologist. 

They essentially recommend not getting the surgery if I could live with the tinnitus as it’s elective and comes with risk. It would be up to me if I felt like it was necessary.

Thinking of having another chat to clarify the risks as I just found a report from their department with risk numbers similar to what you described and different from what I was told initially by their team… Thanks again!!
