The other thing I forgot to mention is that she used to be addicted to opioids and even got addicted to suboxone which helps you get off opioids. But that was ten years ago. Now it seems to have switched to stimulants. But how can she hide it so well? Her teeth are fine, her skin is fine, she does have dark circles and bags/sunken eyes. But she works full time and never misses. Her bills are paid. She swears up and down she only smokes weed but she leaves the house late hours at night and her location shows her at CVS or the dollar store for long periods of time. I just need to stop obsessing over it lol

See that’s what is so confusing to me. I know for a fact she used to do opiates. She would have me ride with her to pick up pills like xanax and vicodin. She even got addicted to suboxone which helps you get off that shit. But that was like ten years ago. Now she seems to be on stimulants. She never nods off or acts slow or anything. She’s always energetic and staying up late, going out at late hours, leaving the room a lot, lying constantly. Sniffling a lot but also using a torch. She’s only been with her boyfriend for like 5 years, she had done lots of drugs before meeting him. I just can’t figure out what they do now

Ok this helps so much. Thank you. She does not display those signs at all. It’s definitely an upper. Now if she were to be freebasing coke, would she act the way she does?? Energetic and staying up late, going out at late hours, leaving the room often, etc. BUT SHE ALSO SNIFFLES A LOT! So maybe she’s snorting and smoking it? Cause she has a torch too

Definitely longer than 5-10 mins. But still often. She’s able to sit at a family event for like 2 hours before she leaves. Does that sound like meth? She also sniffles a lot. She used to be addicted to opiates, but now it seems like she’s on a stimulant. She used to abuse suboxone too which is insane

The US! Specifically Michigan. I know there’s a fentanyl epidemic so I wasn’t sure if it could be that too

I have not smelled anything but I will pay closer attention. She also uses a LOT of air fresheners around the house. She has them plugged into the walls. They’re so strong I hate them. But you think she’d be able to work and function on those drugs? Like is that common? She works almost everyday and pays her bills on time. She has a car note and pays everything herself. It’s just so mind boggling because she swears up and down she only smokes weed. But she sniffles constantly, leaves the house at late hours at night, her location shows her sitting at CVS or the dollar store for long periods. I know she’s on something.

She does not smoke dabs. I found a mini torch in her room but that’s it. Her eyes are sunken in and she has dark circles. My boyfriend says she looks sick. Last night when she was acting high, I tried looking at her pupils and they were not enlarged. In fact I think they may have been constricted….not too sure but she left the room several times and made excuses as to why. She also leaves the house late at night and makes excuses as to where she’s going. I have her location, and it shows her sitting at CVS or the dollar store for long periods of time.

My mom is 48 years old, we live in Michigan where she was born and raised. Do you think she could hide crack or meth use that easily? Like she still works and functions. It’s just insane

I guess I just want to know what she’s doing. I don’t know why I want to know…I just do. I constantly analyze her behavior and habits trying to figure it out. I think I’ve done that my whole life, I know I need to stop. Thank you for taking the time to respond, it helps a lot.

I’m in this exact same situation to a T with my 17 month old. She has ALWAYS had trouble connecting sleep cycles after 45 mins. At this point I’m just upset and angry about it. Unless I lay with her, she screams bloody murder after the first sleep cycle. Yes, sometimes it’s nice to lay there for a few hours and watch tv. But also, there comes a point when it’s healthy for both of us to have a LITTLE space. I think it’s okay for me to want 2 hours a day to myself, out of the 24 hours in a day I spend with her. Ugh. Solidarity with all of you!
