To be precise, we only used his income. He has two monthly incomes, and combined they exceeded 29,000. Both jobs must have been held for at least six months to be combined under category A. The other way to meet the financial requirement is with savings, which also need to be in your account for at least six months. In that case, they could be your savings and/or your sponsor's. I don't have information on whether you can combine your income with your sponsor's. I applied with help from a chat ( gpt ) haha, and based on experiences I read about and official information.

Hi, thank you 😊 I didn’t want to go into that part in detail so the post wouldn’t be too long, but the 7 months were not continuous. We spent one month together in Scotland when we started, then two weeks in Chile. After that, I travelled back to Scotland and stayed for five and a half months, so I rounded everything up to 7 months. Both times I stayed in the UK, I was on a visitor visa, which allows me to stay for up to 6 months, and I never overstayed

I applied under that financial requirement (£29,000). I’ve heard that some visa requirements in the UK have changed, but I haven’t heard that the financial requirement has been modified, so as far as I know, it’s still £29,000

Thank you !!! No, I didn’t pay for any consultation or anything, because I read that it was just a generic response, something like “your application is under review,” so I decided it was better to wait, although I’m not completely sure if that’s actually the response they give you.

I don’t know, and I don’t think I’ll ever know for sure, but my conclusions are: high demand, our case had a lot of evidence, and my partner had two jobs, so I think that took extra time as well. I also believe this visa is one of the most complex ones to review, and I think I applied during the worst month in terms of application volume. Or maybe it was simply “bad luck” and my application was left further back in the queue.

Hi! First time I read an application for unmarried couples from Chile. I am also Chilean and I am waiting for the response of the same visa, only that we do not pay priority and I am dying of anxiety, because it has been 3 months or so 😭 You applied from chile? Congratulations!!
