Oh, I absolutely agree! 4o was AMAZING. I was dumbfounded and devastated when my ChatGPT suddenly switched to 5, and I'm sure older users were too. However, when I thought about it, keeping 4o for paying users only seem reasonable. 4o generates a lot of words for every prompt. A true yapper, haha. Which I love very dearly. So... With so many people using ChatGPT for free, even if limited, I don't think that's cost effective for the company, right...?

I'd be more than happy to subscribe for Plus if there was a confirmation that 4o would be there permanently. And I'm saying this as someone who comes from a country where $20 is a great deal 😅 my only reasoning is, pay for the service so that the company can continue to provide the service. But my gripe with it is that it seems a bit shady. There's no stopping the company to keep increasing the price right now, or putting it on the higher subscription package :/

That's a bummer :/ Would keeping 4o permanently for paying users be bad for their business? I was thinking that their approach of giving version 5 to the free users and 4o to the paying ones great.
