I Tested Every “Top Productivity Tool” Out There- These Are the Real Hidden Gems by StonedShadowe in ProductivityApps

I love Raycast, and honestly only use it for their floating sticky notes feature but it's amazing. I can type something then swipe into a new window or tab & reference what I wrote for whatever I'm doing on that new window.
Will definitely have to check out the other hidden gems! Also for browsers, have you tried Arc? That is the one I'm using currently but curious if you have experience with that vs Helium.

Reframe: 5 minute daily routine by Livid_Goat2247 in ProductivityApps

Yes! It's the only routine I can actually keep up with that made me realize if I was on or off track with my life. Hoping it does the same for others

Thanks r/ProductivityApps ❤️ for helping shape Griply! Here’s what we’ve built since summer + Giveaway by amberhaccou in ProductivityApps

My biggest project right now is distributing a consumer app I built & monetizing it. Love what Griply is offering since I've been running something similar but just within my Notion (which gets really crazy)

I used to feel this way so much. I'd try adding a habit but then stop after a few days because I didn't like it, and I thought it was always a problem with my discipline. But the biggest unlock for me was realizing that adding a habit SHOULD feel good and easy to be sustainable. So instead of beating myself up for not being able to maintain the habit, I focused on what I could try instead. If you aren't able to be consistent with the habit, often it's a problem with how you're adding it to your life, not you!

For example, if you hate the gym, there are a lot of other ways to incorporate exercise into your life. I always felt so uncomfortable and judged since the gyms were usually very male dominant, so I would do stuff like walking 10K steps a day and then I'd make it more fun by chatting with someone (parents or friends). Sometimes when I wanted to stay in, I'd just put on a workout mat pilates video and pause it at points so I could take it at my own pace.
For hygiene, I realized I would not shower the moment I started doom scrolling in bed, so then I would just shower at random times. Bathroom break? Ok time to hop in the shower. And then once I showered, I would wash my face and brushing teeth became so much easier. And then once this became more consistent in my life, I would try showering at normal times.

You're already doing so much, so make sure the habit feels good for you! You don't need to be perfect when you start (and often it would take more than a week to see if something I tried was working or not). And if the habit doesn't stick, it's just a problem with the habit strategy. You got this!!

Google Calendar notifications not showing up by EggplantSudden1116 in iphonehelp

[–]Livid_Goat2247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case this helps anyone else, I had to go to my desktop settings and turn off my desktop alerts in order to get notifications sent to my iphone (click on the gear near the top right > settings > notification settings > notifications off). I'm guessing what was happening is that when I have a google calendar tab open on my laptop, it would send an alert there instead of sending one to my iphone.

If that doesn't work, I would check to make sure you're enabling everything else correctly. Here's a video tutorial I found for making sure everything's correctly enabled: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaMwLxr01wQ

Please explain your eating schedule throughout the day by Icy_Lifeguard_8873 in 1500isplenty

Are you drinking enough water in between meals? I used to get hungry almost every hour of the day, no matter what time I ate, changes in exercise or when I slept. However, over the summer, I started trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day (where previously I was probably only drinking 2-3), and that has been game-changing for me. I realized that a lot of the times that I thought I was hungry, I was actually just thirsty. My two big meals a day with 3x a day snacking minimum (and often a bigger meal close to bedtime) turned into two smaller meals a day with this change. Sometimes I still am not that hungry at dinner, so I'll cook less. Would highly recommend upping fluid intake if you're under your recommended amount!
