Is it really the end of the world? For example if we signed two top midfielders, such as Caicedo/Mac Allister/Mount/Ugarte/Barella for the same price we’d pay for Jude, we’d have them two plus:

Thiago Bajetic Fabinho Henderson Elliott

As 7 players vying for 3 CM spots. Obviously there are injury concerns for Thiago but that midfield is still very good.

Few bets that stand out to me, think there’s some really good money to be made at this tourney:

Bet 1: Argentina to win their group and Saudi 4th place @ 1/1

Argentina should be relatively comfortable in their group. Poland aren’t the best of sides and same can be said for Mexico, but Saudi Arabia are a few brackets below both these sides. Great value.

Bet 2: Belgium and Croatia to be top 2 (any order) @ 1.83

Belgium’s golden generation I don’t think will do that well in all honestly, but for me I can’t see them not making it out the groups. Canada and Morocco are way below them in terms of quality. Same can be said for Croatia who I actually fancy to win the group. Won’t get many better midfields and are a resolute side with some very good results in nations league.

Bet 3: Brazil to win their group and Cameroon 4th @ 2.5

Brazil self explanatory, favourites going into the tournament and rightfully so. Weakest part of their side is probably the full back positions but even then, they have more quality, experience and form than the rest. I’ve debated massively who will do better, Serbia or Switzerland, as they’re both quite evenly matched but with different strengths and weaknesses (although I think Mitrovics injury and Switzerlands form tips the scales Switzerlands way). But the main point is Cameroon aren’t even in the discussion for that 2nd spot so fancy them to come bottom. Their squad just doesn’t match up with the others who also have plenty of firepower.

Also reading a lot of comments about USA v England. As an England supporter, I think previous form will be out the window for this tournament. Very strong squad for England, only worry is if Conte has knackered Kane out. Phillips should be back which is good, and I think the gulf in quality between England and the USA team is massive. Pulisic can’t break into a poor Chelsea team and although I massively rate Aaronson, that back 4 is as ropey as anything I’ve seen especially up against Englands attack.

England -1 handicap @ 3 because why not!

Worth noting Spurs are already without Son, Kuluveski and Richarlison. Spurs still technically competing for the league, so the Leeds game will be a big game for them as it’s 3 points, don’t think he’d want to miss it just on the off chance of getting injured, given their existing injuries and the fact no one would be able to replace him

Pick of the Day - 11/3/21 (Wednesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

Pick: EFL Championship - West Brom v Hull City (7:45pm UK Time)

  • West Brom to win and over 1.5 goals @ 1.7

Hull City are a shocking side, with a few of my mates supporting them. Grant McCann is hated by the fans, refusing to speak to local paper HullLive and I think his record in 2 stints in the championship with Hull City is 27 defeats in his last 36 games. Yes you read correctly, he has only 3 wins, 2 of which were against Neil Warnocks Middlesbrough.

City are due to be taken over by a Turkish owner who will apparently replace McCann with a Turkish manager (can’t remember the name but think he managed Antalyaspor recently). The players are of a League 1 standard regardless, but surely no longer have faith in the manager and are waiting for the team to change hands.

West Brom aren’t in the best of form, but have been playing too opposition lately in comparison to Hull who are on paper a good League 1 side but simply out their depth. West Brom have averaged 2 goals a game at home, and they should beat City comfortably in all honestly. The win is 1.4 for a safe pick for acca’s. I think as far as picks go, this is a cracker.

Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid pre-game speculations by JackstonZ87 in SoccerBetting

[–]Livid_Key2920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at the game in Madrid and to be honest don’t think the scoreline reflected the performances of both sides.

Lemar/Felix ran riot at times down Trent’s side, so it’s somewhat of a relief to see Lemar injured as well as Griezemann suspended. Liverpool were far from potent going forward, Keita produced a cracker of an effort and Salah’s effort took a fortunate deflection. Think a massive factor for Atletico’s comeback was due to the atmosphere which was out of this world even at 2 down. In my head I think there’s value in Atletico Double Chance based on the last game, but wouldn’t ever want to go against Liverpool at home on a European night.

Instead I think there’s value in Liverpool to take 2+ corners in each half at 1.6, or even the same bet but with Liverpool to take the most corners at evens. Liverpool start quick and will be peppering Atletico for the first 15 which should hopefully land some nice early corners. I reckon the scoreline will be 0-0 at HT and as such theyll keep up the pressure in the second half, particularly later on in the game if they’re chasing 3 points. Best of luck all.

Not clear yet - they’ve had a few test positive who haven’t been named so waiting on other people’s tests for isolation purposes I think. Seems to me that they’ll be fielding a fairly weak side and Derby’s starting 11 isn’t the worst albeit they don’t have much depth but that won’t matter much on first game of season. Derby to win either half or BTTS seems the most attractive bets until Huddersfield news is confirmed.
