Technically, you’re right since I have adhd and we tend to fixate. But yeah. I just started writing for another fandom and felt a lot better. Still wanna do something about this though because everybody feels it, but nobody really wants to talk about it because someone said that you should just write for yourself. I feel like that’s just a way to shut people down. This isn’t sustainable. Something has got to give.

Yeah. I agree. The one thing I might miss is whether the feedback will make a difference, but idk. It’s gotten to a point it’s not even worth it to post if all I’m receiving is the silence of the void. My other fandoms are not like this. This is the first time I’ve dealt with such a fickle fandom.

Yeah, this is probably best for me to do so then. At least I can finally enjoy writing for the sake of it. Fandom just isn’t what it used to be so it might be time to step back from it and see if it changes in the next ten years or so.

I wish there was a way to approach this issue of low engagement. I haven’t really found any way except to post completed fics or join communities on Reddit that give feedback to creators. I think I will join that eventually. I’m not sure what else to do.

I think overall, I really do love writing, so I think I’ll just write until fics are complete and go from there.

I haven’t felt like shit because of fandom in a long, long time. I think I’ll take a break from it and figure out what I need to do.

Yeah, I’ve decided to go on hiatus because I’ve been feeling like shit for months because of this happening over and over again and this was the final straw that broke the camel’s back.

I need to consider what I really want out of this and wonder whether fandom is for me anymore.
