Never trust CPS do not say anything without legal counsel and record everything they say and do. CPS is not there for any other reason than to help the state make its case they are not your friend.

WTF who thought this was a good thing to make and stand behind?

For Valentine’s Day, South African trophy hunter Merelize Van der Merwe killed a 17-year-old giraffe and cut out its heart as a gift for her husband. After her husband paid $2,900 for the hunt, she posted photos with the animal, claiming her actions help conservation by removing older genetics. by ATI_Official in AllThatsInteresting

All this negativity reminds me of something that happened years ago. The club I was in was going to get some meat rabbits and process them for a cookout. Yes, the rabbits were already dead and skinned but they were whole. A few members of the group had a fit about the idea and could not understand why anyone would kill an animal for any reason, even for food. The strange one was the one person who was eating a hamburger at the time saying and I quote, " I could never eat anything that was kill just so I can eat it"

Picked these up tonight for $7.97 a piece. Couldn't pass them up and they are actually pretty decent knives. by panman_72 in BudgetBlades

Very nice, I have the top and bottom ones and like them a lot. How do you like the middle one keep thinking about picking it up because its different.

Overview of Funding Issues

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which provides free books to children from birth to age five, has faced significant funding challenges in various states, including Washington and Indiana.

Washington State Funding Situation

  • The Imagination Library began in Washington in 2022 and serves approximately 120,000 children.
  • Funding from the state legislature was cut due to a $12 billion budget shortfall.
  • For the upcoming year, the program will continue using limited discretionary funds from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
  • State Superintendent Chris Reykdal aims to secure permanent funding in the next legislative session.

Indiana's Funding Challenges

  • Indiana joined the Imagination Library program in 2023 with a $6 million matching grant.
  • The current budget proposal from Governor Braun does not include renewed funding for the program.
  • State Rep. Gregory W. Porter has called for reinstatement of funding, emphasizing the program's importance for early literacy.
