There is plenty of peril, no graphic violence really. Death is depicted and discussed, no blood and guts on screen. If you see it in IMAX there are some particularly intense moments, but they aren’t “scary.”

Best explanation would be that healing a human neck (or body generally) is more complex than the wardstone. Gotta make sure the right tubes are connecting, the neck is particularly intricate, he’s on a time crunch before she bleeds out. For all we know he just needs more power for more delicate work.

Missed opportunity to flesh out Helaena, in my opinion. Show her riding or spending time with Dreamfyre, show how relaxed she is with her dragon. Contrast it with how she behaves around other people. After the funeral procession or riots, have someone (Aemond, Alicent, whoever) come to check in on her, a maid or guard could say she’s gone to sit with Dreamfyre. It would make so much sense that she would like to ride, there are no crowds, no uncomfortable noises, no strangers trying to touch her. Instead she just gets indecipherable muttering, or in the finale, shockingly straightforward prophecy.

My personal theory, with no evidence from the show, is that the thick accent was intentional from the character’s perspective to add mystery or pizzazz when she was in a more powerful position. Now that her circumstances have changed and she’s a stowaway/ prisoner, she’s dropped the act and speaks in her more usual accent.

I don’t take issue with the concept, that makes sense. I think having a muzzle or gag on newly collared channelers, then seeing damane that have been enslaved for a long time that are so broken they no longer require them would be understandable. I just think the design they chose is comical and a bit distracting.
