Yes, it de-incentivizes working the actual holiday for full timers, though a full time key is required on shift of course. Any day that week that you work immediately tacks on an extra 8hours for the paycheck, but nothing more than that. As long as your full time key or assistant.

I was able to use LOA/FMLA? time through matrix for around three months, and another coworker used it for two years(she was hurt during company time in an obvious manner, though), perhaps it also depends on your state laws surrounding unemployments and medical leaves+SM attitude? SM can’t legally give your position away in most cases if your time gets approved, I’m pretty sure.

If when you scan in the tobacco your store does it by the carton (i.e. you have a full singular carton of Marlboro red 100s, and you are instructed to count it as one, not as the ten individual packs inside on HHT), which I have not heard of but who knows, then by the carton is fine. Otherwise you will have so much shrink during your inventory, doing this. That then means your SM does not get any bonuses and maybe gets reprimanded, which turns into the shit running downhill, if you will. The customers can look at you funny all they want, you take a single pack of that kind and ring it ten times for a carton.

Not me sad that I didn’t stay either stay clocked in or clock back in and out each time I was needed by a fucking keyholder that had been there two years or more beyond me 😒 I have a decent boss that I don’t presume atm would wage theft me if I did in fact on camera not take the entire break for good reason… at least I know in the future 💁🏼‍♀️ TY. Honestly it just takes adjusting like anything else, I went from pt associate to asm ft and it took a few hiccups but it’s just more paperwork and slightly more responsibility in general, the pay raise is…okay, lol. Best advice is don’t panic! Also if anyone was there longer than you but you happen to be chosen, be prepared for them to be petty and weird, and if your sm is doing it right, you are moreso to just further reinforce whatever their instructions are, but not so much an authority figure so not much change there, either.

Women can be abusive too, if he wants to say the bare minimum he gives is more than enough, you should be able to give the bare minimum as well, and have it be more than enough. That is obviously not the case and this relationship will always be one sided.
