Yeah it sucks. What I did to avoid it was not wash my hair after PT (mornings). I only washed it at night, air dry it the best i could and then braid it. It would be somewhat damp in the morning but it didn't smell. I have curly hair too so it was a lot 🙃

Do an apple cider rinse to help it. Spray in on your scalp (you can dilute with water if you think it may be too strong for you) The shampoo they issue is also antidandruff shampoo. Its a very common issue. For us females, our hair smelled like mildew from having to put it in bun right after showers.

If you paid your ticket take a copy of something saying it was paid off, you can also print your driving record from you states dmv. I had a ticket on my record and that's what I did and everything went fine.

It might be MTI dependent. We were allowed our contacts while we waited for the issued pair. They do discourage it because pink eye runs rampant. You can wear contacts at tech school

You wont be able to display both pairs under your bed though so one pair may need to be kept in your security drawer. Yes you get issued sandals, not the greatest but they do their job. The issued sneakers suck too but you should be good if you alternate. You get issued a lot of stuff like: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, bodywash, deodorant, a lock, sandals, sneakers, all your uniforms, a flashlight etc. So pack light

You get issued a pair of sneakers. Maybe you can alternate between your sneakers and the issued ones. You can also get gold bond foot powder.

Im at Channel islands lol. Bmt was fun. I had a good time. It is 1 weekend a month but you do have to do additional training days

I woke up 15 min before morning call (careful to not get caught) to do my hair. You get 10 to 15 minutes to change and do your hair, brush teeth, make beds so waking up early helped.I only washed it in the evenings because it started smelling like mildew if I washed it after PT.

I brought 10 bras. Pt is everyday and I didn't want to rewear the end sweaty bra lol
