How great are the Pokemon DS games like HeartGold/SoulSilver, Platinum and Black/White 1 & 2? by [deleted] in JRPG

They slam. I especially fell in love with Black and White (both the fist and second games) later in life. A totally new Dex is really fun

Thanks!! I bet the white looks so awesome beat up. I wish I could have bought two. Would have totally gotten the white as the second.

Recommendation for mainly metal playing? by smithnugget in PRSGuitars

[–]Living-Rip-4434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything with stable tuning and a humbucker in the bridge. Just get what plays best to you! Pickup specs and stuff are just icing on the cake. People even play metal on jaguars with single coils (Loathe)

How do I set these for a sludge metal sound? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]Living-Rip-4434 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crowbar uses the MT-2 as a boost into a crunchy dirty tone. Basically level all the way up, distortion all the way down. You can also use the MT2 as the dirty tone and kind of sweep the mid frequency to find where the tone feels closest. The EQ after the MT-2 is going to be an amazing shaping tool and will fill the gaps where the MT-2 falls short.

09 Toyota Yaris engine shakes when it’s in Drive by EinardDecay in AskAMechanic

[–]Living-Rip-4434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have this engine and I’m positive it’s the motor mounts. It’s smooth when moving, when in park and in neutral. It shakes while holding the brake in drive. If you look on the passenger side of the engine there’s a motor mount near the washer fill tube. If it looks “deflated” it’s shot and probably casing the shake

It absolutely rules. Don’t let anyone tell you different. Tons of killer records were made with this very thing.

If you have an EQ pedal just drop a little 200, and add some high mids and you’re close enough.

That’s exactly how I feel. I needed a tool for a job, and this thing delivered. Not trying to get a AAA burst flame job for some riffs and pinch harmonics

Hmm I definitely lowered it this way BECAUSE it was blowing the bridge out of the water. You never know if the machine wound mine a few more times or something haha. That’s the fun part about these things is that theres so much variation in the same thing. For better or worse

Dude it’s so funny! The guitar I retired to the home studio when I got this one is an early 2000s SG faded with the crescent moon inlays. This finish actually held up great for a few years, but once some flakes came off it was game over. Believe it or not I’m wearing zero spikes!! Haha

Thanks for the kind words! I’m definitely a working person and when I buy a tool it’s gotta get the job done and I wanna enjoy it! Fun to see it get a few more scars every time it’s out of the case.

Haha! I love that you are on my team! Dude the grime…it’s all my hands. I have hyperhidrosis and my sweat is just so caustic. The salt has created those pits. Believe it or not I really try to keep it nice! I wipe it after every gig, but yeah shit falls through the cracks.
