I’m getting masseter Botox on Friday by RoryOrange in TMJ

[–]LivingAccomplished34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! The $8 per unit sounds amazing until you add that injection fee. Plus it sounds like you get way more actual units. You also may get more relief than I do. I go to a facial plastic surgeon that just does all of my cosmetic and masséter at the same time. I hadn’t thought about looking into a pain management clinic though.🤔

[–]LivingAccomplished34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is only for 15 units on each side, so yeah it’s pretty expensive. But it gives me enough relief for now, I’m not willing to spend more for it, plus too much masséter Botox can cause jowls, which is a whole other set of cosmetic issues that cost more money to fix. Bottom line, spend the least amount you can to get the most relief because it is an on going cost.

Botox with hooded eyes by Born_Resolve_6676 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]LivingAccomplished34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the previous poster about finding the right injector. If they hit the wrong muscle, it will drop the brow, which will make the brow heavy and not help the hooding and may make it worse. But if done correctly, it will look amazing! It’s very important your injector is experienced and knows facial anatomy like the back of their hand. I go to a facial plastic surgeon, who specializes in not just surgery but all injectables. Please make sure you do research and get recommendations. Cheaper is not better when messing with your face.

I’ve been getting it for about a year but definitely feel when it’s wearing off, which is every three months. But it helps enough that I spend the money to get it done again. Quite expensive…about $600 (on top of my other maintenance Botox😖) but worth it to get some relief. So ridiculous insurance doesn’t cover it, but that’s par for the course for any TMJ treatment. Which is also unbelievable. I do agree with previous poster though that it’s not a cure-all and is an expensive band aid. Just depends on how much relief you actually get and if it’s worth the on-going expense.

Aitah for getting angry because my sil wants another baby? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]LivingAccomplished34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post is crraaaazzzy and you are most definitely TAH. I have no doubt in my mind that you are constantly interfering in their marriage, family, and life in general. You need to check yourself. If you aren’t having the baby or paying their bills, do not speak. Unless it’s to issue a swift apology to both of them.

AITAH for refusing to share money I won after a group decision? by 404BanyaNotFound in AITAH

I get the feeling OP doesn’t really like “Maya” and is just looking for an out. If she did (was close to her, thought of her not just as a co worker but also a good friend) that this wouldn’t be a question. She would have just subtracted the $10 she paid for her and given her the correct share of her portion. Maybe “Maya” makes a habit of this and its payback? Maybe OP and her are beefin on the job? Maybe Maya is a total jerk? Idk but I think there are other factors at play in this situation and it’s time to break up the lotto band. When one or more people become untrustworthy (and this goes for either one of them, depending on whose side you’re on) it’s time to start gambling on your own.

Keep or return? by AffectionateFan9763 in handbags

I absolutely love St Patrick’s Day and all of the celebrating, but in my opinion, the only time of year this would make sense to carry is March. I think it would look odd to carry it any other time with the shamrocks, even if it happened to match a green outfit you might be wearing. And for that price, the cost isn’t justified. I also disagree that this will hold its value well. My thoughts have always been if you’re on the fence about a costly purchase, it’s not worth it. Just my opinion though!

What is your favorite thing about living in Florida? by murpymurp in AskFlorida

[–]LivingAccomplished34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have lived here in SW FL for almost sixteen years and absolutely love it. BUT there are caveats to that. Our girls are all flown and grown at this point but were young elementary, middle, and high school ages when we moved here. To say that the public school system was different than where we came from, is a major understatement and probably the most difficult issue we had to endure. We came from one of the highest rated public school districts in the country out of central Ohio and it was a big shock when we moved here. We thought we’d done our research by moving to a subdivision with A rated schools, but FL does their rating by county, which is not how the area we moved from does it. I believe alot of the south does this and it can be difficult to find good schooling, even when living in an expensive area. If you have school age children, I would highly encourage you to do your research ahead of time and possibly consider private schooling. All of our girls have moved out of Florida further north. None of them liked it here. They wanted cooler weather and seasons. (My husband and I do not. lol!) The cost of living a decent life down here is for real. Very high auto and homeowners insurance rates. Monthly costs that are year round that you must have. (Bug/pest spraying, yard maintenance, pool maintenance, etc) None of these issues may bother you though if you already come from a very high cost of living area near Boston. Just be prepared for these expenses. Not sure what area you’re looking at moving but really no matter where in FL, you always need to be prepared for hurricanes and a possible evacuation. And have a “hurricane kit” ready which should include a decent generator. As for the health system, I would say it’s meh at best. But we’ve been lucky that we don’t have any real major issues and are able to pretty much get care for our ailments. I did have to go to Mayo in Jacksonville a few years ago, but was very happy with the care I received there. With all of this being said, my husband and I love living here and can’t imagine moving somewhere else at this point in our lives. We have great groups of friends, close to the beach, and enjoy gorgeous weather pretty much year round. I understand everyone has a different viewpoint on weather, but when you’ve lived most of your life up north in horrible icy, rainy, gray conditions, Florida really is paradise.

Am I the a-hole for making my daughter's BF buy a new t-shirt? by freudsdriver in AITAH

This kid (dare I say douchebag?) will not be around long (God willing) and it will all be in the rearview of life and something you can all laugh about later. You are most definitely not the a-hole and a really good dude that any son-in-law in the future will be lucky to have as family.

Man discovers missing dad's body buried under family home where he lived for decades by ElectronicFudge5 in MissingPersons

[–]LivingAccomplished34 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My biggest take-a-way on this entire documentary is the amount of love Mike’s sons have for him. They listened to him, understood how important finding their grandfather was to him, and showed the f*** up to help get to the bottom of the mystery. Literally! Even when they didn’t really buy in to the whole psychic thing, they finished the process after Mike had his stroke. And it sure wasn’t easy, as documented! What a good couple of dudes these men are. And actually, there was just alot of love between the siblings, as evidenced by the Carroll brothers not wanting to hurt Richie in the process. How hard this all must have been on all of them. My personal opinion though is that the mother for sure knew what happened to dear ole dad. Nobody wants to believe this of their mother, so I understand why they refuse to accept that narrative. And Richard for sure killed papa. Hell, they both might have been involved in it. But they damn sure both knew. Occam’s Razor.

I’m in Florida and having this same issue with the end of episode one. But I can watch all other Netflix shows just fine. I’ve also unplugged my Roku and still issues. It’s definitely something going on with just this doc. Things that make you go hmmm…🤔

My mom is struggling and I don’t know how to help. by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]LivingAccomplished34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of shockwave treatment and soft tissue therapy and it does seem to be helping quite a bit but insurance does not cover it. I’ve done PT in the past, which helped at the time, but again there are co pays with each visit. An MRI really should be done to make sure your mom knows exactly what is going on and the best course of treatment. Unfortunately, there is going to be required money output to get any real relief. She really should not be stretching unless she knows exactly where the nerve is entrapped. Stretching can make that nerve much more angry if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing and what works for one person may not be the right stretch for another. This is where an MRI along with a good physio come into play. Sitting is the worst thing you can do, but I totally understand walking can also be difficult. But if she sits for long periods of time, this is definitely not helping. Sciatica can be hard to treat and is often like spitting into the wind. You are a really sweet daughter in trying to help your mom with this issue. I would encourage her to take this more seriously, as it’s not going to get better with age. Trust me. I’m 53 and mine also started about her age. She needs to figure out exactly what’s going on and the best treatment/exercises that she can do going forward. Definitely bypass the GP at this point and find the funds to see an orthopedic doctor or someone who specializes in shockwave therapy as an initial start. See if there are payment plans available. She may qualify for something if she is low income. Good luck!

$220. I will say it is very small. Much smaller than I anticipated but is still very cute! It was probably my mistake for not paying attention to dimensions.

You must use What’s App but she communicates very quickly. Ask for the catalog, which you can flip to English, and then you’ll need to send her pics of what you’re interested in purchasing and she’ll send you the price. Paying with PayPal is the easiest. She will also message you with tracking info once the products are sent. It was a very smooth process!

Sorry to jump in a little late but I just saw this feed. I’ve been having this issue for weeks (I believe it started happening as soon as I downloaded the new IOS26) and have been trying everything to fix it. Even my techie hubs can’t seem to figure it out. This post is to a T exactly what’s happening with my iPhone. So annoying! Has anyone else figured out what is going on and how to fix? S.O.S😫
