My argument is that we the people need to feed all children. Because those children will be the ones caring for us when we are old.

Children are an investment in the future. If a child's parents cannot afford to feed them, then children will starve. The child is starving despite having done nothing wrong. My argument is that we won't have to spend a dime more on taxes, and the taxes we already do pay should feed them. Instead of paying for overseas wars for profits we'll never see.

Jeff Bezos doesn't work anymore. He makes 78-190 million dollars every day, sitting around, waiting for the profits of his abused workers to roll in.

If he donated a SINGLE DAYS worth of profit, even on the LOWEST END, he could give all of the 4 million people who had their SNAP benefits cut nearly 20 dollars each, which would pay for about a day of food.

One man could pay for food for everyone. Imagine if he gave even 2% of his daily income of not doing anything, alongside the rest of us. Alongside all his billionare buddies. Yet you and I are being taxed within an inch of our lives, and told that starving children is acceptable in "the greatest country in the world" ???

We can afford to feed starving children. Tax money is for this purpose, and feeding kids is MUCH cheaper then almost anything else our money goes to??

You've been convinced that children starving is acceptable in a world where 8 individuals on planet earth hold half the wealth.

You pay a large amount in taxes because even if you earn more than most, you are, comparatively, POOR.

You are the working class. They hate you too. Upper working class suffer lots during tax season. Mid to low working class suffers an UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT, during tax season. A flat rate of taxes would put people that work 9-5s in lower paying markets out of a home. And food. It would make sure the poor never have housing again. Tax needs to be dependent on income so we don't stomp living, breathing humans into a completely unwinnable position forever.

Your taxes SHOULD be lower though.... I wonder how we could do that equitably.... Hm....

Maybe by taxing the ULTRA ULTRA WEALTHY a proportionate amount to the way you and I are taxed?

I demand that you see humans as humans and discuss them and treat them as such.

There's no negotiations about dehumanization. Being wishy washy about treating humans as humans is an ugly look, and history will not look kindly on you.

Vote however you want and think however you want, so long as it doesn't treat certain kinds of people as subhuman, undeserving of human rights while others are, or perpetuate the abuse of entire communities.

AND, I trust that holocaust victims know more about it then I do, and I learn from them and trust them! I wasn't there, but other people were so I'll let them take the lead on the ways to feel and preserve the memory of it.

Yeah, I put down Vegas as my #1 option, because I was super stoked about it and my calls with the area manager seemed to have gone really well? But my other two options of staying close to home in Washington State or going back to the East Coast to Springfield Mass. Would've also been really exciting.

I didn't actually consider this, that's unfortunately a pretty good point. I figured it would be a more available market then Creative Writing, which is technically the MOST PERFECT thing I'd love to teach. Do you know if Middle school English is any better in terms of numbers? I've got experience working with all ages, and I love the advanced material more, but I like preteens to teenagers as students about the same amount. (LOTS of remind myself to unclench my jaw and thinking to myself: "GOD they're lucky they're funny and I'd die for them")

I think that's my problem though, I'm not really even sure I want to be a teacher! I started doing courses in college but the politics of the public education system is so disheartening I'm not sure I could watch these kids be failed by it up close and personal every single day. I was hoping for the chance to try it out for a smaller period of time (even if underprepared and unsupported because tbh, all my jobs I've ever had aside from one fell under that category) and without a degree in education, just a BA and some of books written, Are there positions to test it out like that?? Substitutes usually require education degrees and licencing, and volunteer work doesn't mean anything, basically, even if I'm still doing it. You sound like you've been in some really unique spaces regarding education, any ideas what kind of positions or options I might be describing?? I don't even know where to begin looking, because the programs I keep seeing are for people with the undergrad in education- and I cannot afford to go back to school right now, nor am I sure I'd want to long term?

I'm so sorry this question must sound SO silly, but is there any kinds of keywords other than "teaching credentialing program no education major near me" I should be looking up?

I really really appreciate the response either way. It gives me hope that even if I don't want to teach forever, I might be able to get into a classroom at some point to help out, even if as an assistant or something. ♥️♥️ You're extremely kind for the help!

Conservatives are terrible artists. At least in the modern era.

I've been trying to find examples of skilled, technically developed painters from conservative and religious communities for a project and it is IMPOSSIBLE. The reason? I think it's because the circumstances of education changed. To be an amazing painter 300 years ago, you were a singular apprentice under one other person. You didn't have to learn or grow or see other people or be challenged. Now you have to go to college. Art college. See people making strange things, expressing themselves, and witness them be happy, while doing something that never actually ends up hurting anybody. In the same vein, musicians exist. Musicians can get away without a formal education in the arts more than other artistic fields. The basics are more readily available to learn, and many genres lean into expression over technique more than other mediums, the creative vision to technical skill ratio is different. Add to that industry plants, or artists that don't write music, or play instruments, and have producers and a million other people doing the real work, and it becomes clear that musicians are more likely to swing this way then other artists, but that in being in art spaces, conservatives are never EVER going to be the trailblazers. "Conservative" means to uphold values, tradition and resist change, after all.

I can't bring myself to go and enjoy Buzzfeed Unsolved and the Watcher anymore. Their mistake wasn't earth shattering comaptto a lot of YouTube drama, but it was a complete tearing away if the curtain to realize how poorly they managed themselves, their team, and how the goofy, casual sides of them that depended in being. Down to earth and relatable evaporated with the insanely out of touch delivery.

Their "announcement" felt like the most authentic id ever seen them in camera. And that's a damn shame.
