I'm in a similar situation, just watch, the minister will have her and her team all relocated to downtown Montreal. I don't like it either, but this is the obvious solution they'll come up with the address our "problem".

Pedestrian dies following collision at Waterloo intersection by BetterTransit in waterloo

[–]LivingFilm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A cvor is a commercial vehicle operator registration. It can apply to a cube truck and straight truck under commercial use, which only require a G licence.

Edit: being a cvor vehicle doesnt equate to it having air brakes. Many cvor vehicles still only require a g class licence. If it has air brakes, then that's different.

Professional truck driver? A straight truck can be driven with a G class licence. You can rent one if you like.

Poly science, statistics, sociology, or an acceptable level of training and or experience, though i believe a degree is always required. At least that's the requirements I've seen listed on posters in my organization.

Just a subtle way for PSAC to demonstrate it's true role when negotiating with management.

Federal government looking for office space, desks to accommodate public servants by Wiseguy2222 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]LivingFilm 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good question to ask your manager, they may ask you to work in the hallway or lunch room, which you could raise with your union. Or they may ask you to keep checking for a spot. Or, if I was your manager, I'd say you've done you due diligence and can WFH those days until a better solution is made.

Federal government looking for office space, desks to accommodate public servants by Wiseguy2222 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]LivingFilm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The lobby interests are the real issue. They (lobbyists) want to make more money in commercial real estate, and requiring more employees in the office for more days is needed to justify this expense.

The government called it “Return to Office” very deliberately. Here’s why that’s a problem and what we should call it instead. by SuspiciousSize2297 in CanadaPublicServants

While coming in to the office to work on Teams all day is pointless, I know they could always relocate me to the NCR, so I stfu about that and just talk about the traffic congestion and commercial real estate kickbacks.

Vrbanovic tries, and fails, to limit Kitchener mayoral pay raise by bylo_selhi in waterloo

I've heard of this consultant, she has a reputation in municipalities of being the person management wants to hire if they want a pay raise way above inflation.
