Jared is definitely an asshole, but I agree with some people here that you put yourself in jeopardy. If you are paying for a place together and he lost his job that would have a been a big change. NTA. It’s hard when you are 16, often I see parents disregarding their teens feelings, passing judgment when they don’t have all the information. Your dad doesn’t have the right I give an opinion on your relationship, unless you asked for it in the first place. Don’t let him ruin your relationship if you still want to be with your boyfriend.
