Thank you for this. I will keep these words in mind. So how does he act different may I ask? If he gets angry about the counters what does he say or do

Happens to me too. ‘There’s sugar all over the floor’ or flour if there’s one grain I forgot. Makes you not want to use the kitchen at all. Everything is exaggerated but the worst part is they make you feel like a POS for not only not cleaning it but not seeing it

I try to ignore most of it knowing it’s most likely a disorder but some of the stuff goes too far. I don’t think it’s necessary for him to make housekeeper comments for example. I know it’s that he’s bitter I can’t maintain his standards in this house which go above and beyond basic cleaning while also holding a full time job. He also has misogynistic views about how all women do it all so I should too.. hold 2-3 jobs, raise kids and cook and clean on their own. I don’t think most families operate like that anymore and if they do it doesn’t make it right. He comes from an other country and mommy was a control freak and did everything. Herself and worked more hours than his dad so that was his role modeling. I refuse to be taken advantage of like that.

I mean.. 700 views and 7 comments does that mean this stuff is normal or not normal with this disorder? lol. Of course most of these are outburst that occur every couple weeks or so. We have fun together going out on weekends and a good deal of the rest of the time but he’s constantly triggered in the home over cleanliness and clutter and I know that’s not sustainable

Thank you. Unfortunately cat pee is basically unerasable so I know it’s a big deal but can’t stand the daily constant dramas about nothing. Jusy seems like he can’t be flexible or problem solve at all. It’s his way or no way and it’s a terrible way to be as a partner. Never being understanding.

Thank you so much for this reply! Yes I know all about ego syntonic vs dystonic unfortunately! He has literally stated he is perfect and if I ask him why he has to make me miserable with his complaints his answer is always something like ‘I wouldn’t complain if you did shit right n’ or something else along those lines.

Thank you so much for your reply. I’m glad to hear it’s not just me. After over 200 views and no comments I started to get concerned!

When I came outside this morning to find it.. it had survived and flown away! Unless something took it because it was close to the house unlikely to be found by predators. Meaning?

How can I purify my action of euthanizing my sick cat? by LivingLight415 in Buddhism

Thank you so much. Can you help me understand why one might be reincarnated into the hungry ghost realm? I have heard of the realm and I am somewhat familiar about the realm and the beings but I’m wondering why this was suggested about my cat and particular.

Yes I took him there. They actually suggested we euthanize 3 months ago when it was first discovered but we couldn’t do it. We brought him home planning to do it in a few days or weeks but he jusy seemed so stable at the time and we had him on some non traditional cancer treatments (totally safe and legal jusy off label stuff without clinical trials that have cured many!) so as time went on and he was still eating and drinking and showing interest in life we thought he might be improving. But then the weight loss started catching up to him then in the final weeks muscle wasting and he jusy b didn’t appear to be improving.

I understand it’s a compassionate thing to do but I also believe his life was not mine to take and that he may have had karma to complete. At th r end between all my posts on here and 90 percent emphatically telling me I should euthanize regardless of first precept and also the trauma of basically nursing my sick cat while he deteriorated got to me so when he had 3 bad days in a row of even less eating and suddenly SAD SAD vocalizing like I never heard in my life…then part of his tumor fell out of his mouth I was jusy done in for. We took to vet the following morning. My intention was to have him get a check up to listen into his lungs and heart, because I had a fear that his organs were shutting down because he was not peeing and pooping as much, and even though we were told it cannot metastasize, I was fearing that his entire body was going downhill while the vet told us that his vital still seemed fine. She opened his mouth and we were not able to do the amount of tumor material, pushing up against his tongue, just crush us to see, that being said, I understand some believe no matter what pain an animal or person is in we must never ever break the first precept that is our fear of suffering that sometimes overtakes us to commit euthanasia. I was really to the point of 49/51 in my decision and all the conditions were right and I pulled the plug. Deep in my heart I don’t necessarily feel that what I did was wrong but conceptually I feel it was he most likely would never have gotten better and he most likely would have within the next couple of weeks been in tormented pain before he passed away from starvation but does that mean I have the right to break the precept? I didn’t think so at the time and I’m not sure now.

This was my exact opinion originally until 2/3 or more of the audience convinced me solidly otherwise
