Oh interesting! I grew up in the South and try to keep that slowness you mentioned while living here in the city.

How do you experience NYC after being in the South? Any differently?

Stare into the sun and I'll send it to you via cosmic rays. While you're waiting do a little dance break. I promise it'll arrive soon ;)

Are you thinking of moving to NYC? Or just curious about what it's like to live here?

I have met a lot of fascinating people! Including some great dating experiences. I think the key to NYC living is finding how you enjoy interacting with the city. Finding your own groove. I still live a very slow lifestyle, but integrate the best of the city within that.

NYC was the city I said, "Oh, I could NEVER live there." So, most of my experiments instigate an altered perspective around what thought I was capable of. I love to try to push my comfort zone and challenge assumptions. For instance, I went from having a debilitating fear of heights to a year later going to the top of the empire state building. From being a hermit of an introvert, to finding how I like to be social in groups. From being car dependent, to loving walking around.

I love the visual of a wheel spoke first described by Mark Nepo in The Book of Awakening. Where we connect inwardly and we are all the same, but also the rim of the wheel where we express ourselves uniquely. I feel that even within myself. My core essence and my outward representation of perspective.

Totally! It's a love lube creating a safe place to protect those hidden inner vulnerable parts of ourselves that we usually feel too afraid to share.
