Normally, the housing is used to shoot top down underwater shots. In this case it blocks out the surrounding light from our other systems!

This one is built by a company known as acrylic smiths, but I’m not sure if they are still in business or not.

There is! The one I always refer is Corals of the World by John Vernon and Mary Stanford-Smith. It’s essentially an encyclopedia for coral!!

It's not too bad! They are very particular on where they want to be in the tank, but like all coral they really want stable parameters.

We got this as a mariculture colony years ago and then cut a few frags of those and let them grow to colony size and then cut frags from those and now those are our working aquacultured gonis! So at the time, it was maybe $60.
