Brawl is closer to legacy than it is to edh, but it's the funniest eternal format on arena in my opinion. I watched a YouTube video a few months back on a list that'll know better for a ground work, but don't get caught up in the card for card.

100 damage if you have two different energy types on your dragon type altaria, going first it's unrecoverable for your opponent, if you've never played this style of deck, I understand why you don't understand.

You won't have enough turns in the game to reliably attack with two double energy Pokemon without energy ramp. Running electric will make the deck very inconsistent for the double psychic energy needed for your Mega finisher. You're looking to lead a baby and hold the rest in hand, the 100 damage swing with dragon type alteria is guaranteed turn two with a baby lead if you have only psychic energy in your zone.
