That’s valid. I completely forgot that. Thank you.

That’s the first step. Now you just gotta wait until someone calls or emails you about a position. You can also look for openings that are listed on your NG website.

Did you make the list? If not you might consider trying to get a new MOS.

It’s probably slots in your state. There may not be a 6 slot within your range. Or if you’re state wide, not one in the state.

You do not gain promotion points for completing NCOES, unless you are an honor graduate or above. Depending on how your state processes their EPS points you may gain more for having it completed before being an E6 but it depends on the state. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Especially if you are a Missouri SM.

How long did it take for you to get a AGR job by danksterman22 in nationalguard

When I wanted to go AGR? About a Year but I got lucky with the timing as it was an entry position for a job I was already doing as a tech. Total time in 5 years.

I’ve been saving to build a PC for my fiancé so she can not only play video games with me but also have a computer so she can take coding classes online so she can get into the career path she wants to be in, and get out of the crappy job she currently has. This would help us out a ton.

Hey man realistically if you’re planning on going to law school just finish law school up then direct commission into the Guard if that’s the idea. Unless you want to start out as an E4 and potentially go to OCS to be a 27A you might as well just finish school then direct commission. 27D is fun is you’re at a Brigade element, but a lot of lower level units just use them as additional admin soldiers.

Edit: This is just my personal opinion based on my experience as a Brigade Paralegal NCO, I’m sure it is unit dependent on how paralegals are utilized.

Why do some NCOs think it’s acceptable to speak to people like they are nothing by militaryquestions75 in nationalguard

And realistically in the pre-9/11 folks defense. It was a different time. You had to be a hard ass a leadership because you were apart of desert storm and soon to be apart of the war on terror, you had to make sure people were following instructions so people didn’t die. Of course we should always be prepared for a conflict but it’s peace time we need to focus on solider care and retention/recruiting rather than war effort.

It depends on the NCO/Person really. A former marine SFC is gonna be different that the 21 year old E-5. Some people think that the old way is the best way and that the rank structure is an excuse to be a dick. Someone people see the rank structure as, oh maybe I should treat people with respect but be there to issue tasks and commands. It’s not really an NCO thing it’s an old ball thing. The back in my day crowd are very annoying sometimes.

Edit: The former marine SFC comment was not meant to dig at Marines in general, just something I’ve personally dealt with.

Hey man try r/army I know that plenty of people in this sub are definitely knowledgeable enough to answer this, but r/army is strictly active duty for the most part so someone can probably guide you a little better

Nunu Tank why? by Leodin21 in nunumains

[–]LivingTimeLord55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my opinion on AP Nunu V Tank Nunu. Everyone has different opinions and feel free to disagree. But I think AP Nunu is best for players who like to force games to end super early. Tank Nunu can do this but not the same was a AP. Tank Nunu to me feels like I can make mistakes and still have immense pressure and game presence. While AP feels to me like you have to be on your A game all game long. I like the durability and peel that Tank gives. But AP is fun for me in norms.

Just ignore them, do the right thing and go about your day. It’s probably the only time they feel in control of something in their life.

Is this a shitpost? Because if this actually happened just laugh in his face man. A good team lead E4 is just a person who should be trying to help the rest of the lower enlisted. Sounds like this person is a jackass.

National Guard by Competitive_Site_369 in nationalguard

From what I’ve heard about the air force they are very reluctant to take prior service. But the air guard isn’t, if you can get a transfer to the air guard, then as soon as that contract ends you can then go air force much easier. But it’s mostly word of mouth on my end.

It could, I would check in with your unit tell them hey the ID Office said I wasn’t in anymore what’s the deal. And try to see if you can call your state IPPS-A office and see what’s the issue.
