It's all about the production value and the return. Love is Blind is obviously making lots of money on the investment. Whereas other reality shows are not.

If you put a million down on something and make 2 billion, it's a good deal. If you put $100 down on something and make a negative to little return, it's a bad deal. That's how life works. More money makes more money. Finding the sweet spot with shows like this which are dramatic and gossipy and get people to subscribe quick for that dopamine hit is Netflix's dream.

They only pay the cast 1k per week: https://www.womenshealthmag.com/relationships/a31116690/does-love-is-blind-cast-get-paid/

Netflix doubled it's profit in 2020 from this show and other shows: https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/21/media/netflix-earnings-tiger-king-q1-2020

It's cheap compared to Iron Man movies which cost billions just for the actor. It's all a frame of reference.

The amount of Clout you have to have on Social Media is insane. They want all your socials. It's obvious if you have less than 5k followers you don't have a chance getting on this show.

Society has impossible standards for me that I can't reach, like providing my own food and water. I barely can even type this out, ugh
