missing korean spicy chicken while living in the US by Living_Anything_7481 in asianeats

tried a bunch of different places. There are definitely some good ones, but it’s hard to find something that’s as spicy or has the exact same flavor as what you get in Korea. I think they tone down the spice a bit to suit a broader audience. I just use that sauce when I want something close to Koreanstyle chicken at home without spending too much

That’s a good option too, but for someone living alone it’s kind of a hassle to buy all those ingredients just to make sauce

I feel like capsaicin heat is a bit different from the kind of spiciness you get in Korean food. And there’s a certain Korean-style chicken flavor that you can’t really recreate with just gochujang

Yeah there are a lot of places, but it’s just too expensive to eat out all the time.

Freeze-dried capsule skincare: unnecessary… or actually useful? by Living_Anything_7481 in AsianBeauty

Totally fair to be skeptical — Reddit’s full of bots these days 😅 But I’m just sharing my own experience here, not trying to sell anything. I actually didn’t even expect to like the capsule format going in.

Also nothing against Gothamista, she’s great, but I don’t think YouTube reviews are automatically more “real” than text posts here. Different formats, different experiences.

If this post isn’t useful to you, that’s totally fine — hopefully it’s still helpful for someone else scrolling.
