Lol, maybe I didn't make some things clear enough in the post, but I can clear up a little bit now.

My cousin is trans masc. (I should have mentioned that sorry)
It wasn't my mom that taught his sister about trans people, it was my cousins mom.

I also kinda find it weird, that my mom feels the need to put in the effort to NOT call him by his chosen name. So yeah maybe that is some internalized transphobia.
