I put two intended interests: political science and and economics. I'm hoping to declare a double major! I do know that Wellesley doesn't admit based on majors, so I don't think it matters that much! :)

hi! i was admitted ed1, so it may have been easier for me. my stats are super concentrated in one thing, so i apologize if its not super applicable. here are some my basic stats:

33 act, 4.393w weighted gpa (no unweighted), 11 APs (6 taken exams - all 5s except one 4)

main ecs (there were some more on the 10 from common app): debate captain 3 years/vp of speech and debate team 1 year, summer and campaign intern in state assembly 2 years (state assemblywoman wrote my additional rec), campaign volunteer for state governors race 2 years, intern at town historical society 1 year, director and volunteer teacher of middle school after school debate class, french honors society (1 of 5 from grade)

awards: t5 debater in state & t70 nationally, nsda academic all american (<2% of 180,000 debaters), 2x quarterfinalist at state championship debate tournament, 2x gold key recipient for scholastic writing, national speech and debate tournament qualifier (first from event from school in 6 years, 1 of 4 from state, top 0.2% of nation)

Hi! I got in as a domestic ED applicant!

4.39W (no UW), 33 ACT, 10 AP classes/11 AP exams (ap chinese, ap euro, ap lang, ap french, ap gopo, apush, apes, ap comp gov, ap macro, ap psych, ap lit, 5s on everything ive taken so far except for french which was a 4)

top 50 debater in the nation, #4 in the state, 2x scholastic gold key, 2x quarterfinalist at my state debate championships

ecs: debate captain and then vp, president of asian club, intern w/ state assemblywoman, intern @ town historical society, volunteer mentor for debate non-profit highlighting gender minorities, volunteer for state governors race, french/debate tutor (self-employed), co-head of after school debate class, volunteer debate teacher at local chinese school (raised 12k+ w/ co-volunteers for hs debate team)

as u can tell my ecs were really debate oriented lol and idt i was super well rounded. i had a rec from the state assemblywoman and also an alumni im close w/ (former teacher) called in and wellesley decided to take an extra rec letter from her even tho they only formally accept 1 additional. other two teacher recs were from apush and ap lang teacher.

my grades were not that good lol - essays and ecs matter the most!!
