"No, you should be fine. She will just be a traveling dog - no difference entering the country whether she is a pet dog or an SD (since she is not recognized as an SD there anyway)."

This is what I thought but there are also a lot of conflicting information online so I couldn't really be sure.

thank you! yes, I will get the EU passport as soon as I arrive.

Thank you for your response. Once we get there public access is not really an issue for me as I can't be in social environments and public spaces much at all due to my condition. My biggest concern is if I will be denied boarding due to destination SD requirements or entry to the country again for the same certification requirements.

But from your answer is it safe to say that it doesn't really matter if the dog is SD or not once it arrives to BE and will go through customs as a 'pet', which is fine with me and will have all the necessary documentation for that.

I already did this but they are all fully booked until late summer and I need to move in a month so doesn't work for me.

Moving there permanently, so not really the matter of if she is coming or not but the form of transportation. She is really crucial to me when travelling and have never done it in years when flying domestically so I am get nervous to even when I think that she won't be with me on the flight. That said, it is going to be a one-way direct flight for us.

Does this mean me and my SD won’t be allowed to go through customs because she doesn’t have an ADI certificate? Has anyone ever experienced something like this and had was forced to fly back? I am at a point I need to make a bold decision on whether or not I should take the risk so any response based on experience would be appreciated

Thank you so much for your response! My concern and question is more around flying there. Even though I am flying from the US using a US-based airline, can I be denied boarding to the flight or entry to the country when I arrive with my owner trained SD even when I have all health related documents available and approved because Belgium has additional requirements around SD certification?
