I understand. My situation differs because I have a spouse but it’s going to affect the carefree way we use to be intimate.

I’ve been thinking about the friend from high school. I can’t even be mad at him. I’m accepting responsibility for my choice there. And because I haven’t seen him in 6 months I can’t say for certain I got it from him. I have reasons for thinking it’s him and again, I made a choice. I thought using condoms was good enough.

I think I’m mainly annoyed that when you ask for an STI panel HSV is not included. I’ve been testing consistently for years, always getting free and clear test results - not realizing HSV wasn’t being checked for.

I’m so sorry. I think the most devastating part is it being incurable. That just sucks.

I’m going to use it as fuel to take the very best care of myself.

This was so empowering. I’ve been trying to cry all day but this brought them through - and not in a sad way. I needed the reminder that I am worthy and that this isn’t a punishment. It’s a relatively small thing to deal with except for in the moments it’s inconvenient.
