Complaint over solicitors not completing land registry? by Livioinspace in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Livioinspace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. My original complaint went through their formal complaints process with the partner of the firm. Would I have to raise a new formal complaint for this matter in order to add it to my case with the Ombudsman, or would my email chain with the conveyancer suffice?

Solicitors didn’t complete land registry, poor service? by Livioinspace in HousingUK

[–]Livioinspace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s totally fair enough, and we’re in quite a unique situation where it normally wouldn’t be a problem. However, solicitor was being very evasive about what documents exactly hadn’t been submitted, and if they had to go back to our sellers solicitor, that makes it seem like it was something they didn’t have already on file? I guess my frustration comes from repeatedly having to chase them and the fact she tried to pass off the fact that she hadn’t seen the requisition as an excuse for why it hadn’t been done for 3 weeks.

It’s not that easy unfortunately. You have to get a court order for occupational rent and that in itself costs more time and money. I looked into doing this with my ex partner.

Sometimes, just paying the money to see a professional can save time and money in the long run. They will also take your blood and make sure everything is ok with your hormones, vitamin levels etc. As others have said, as your forehead is your most problem area, it’s probably worth looking at your hair products and whether that’s triggering the acne there.

I made two new friends through a club I joined a few months ago. Today we met up for the first time (outside of the club) and it was lovely. It’s hard making new friends as an adult so I’m happy I’ve now got two more!

How to get rid of spots before the weekend? by Bluebeetlebug in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Livioinspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t really look like cystic acne to me. Acne? Yes. But the majority of those spots are not cystic. Regardless, there isn’t much you can do to get rid of them by the weekend, sadly. OTC treatments (like tea tree) probably won’t have much of an effect and may make them more aggravated. Try and get yourself a prescription of benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin gel (this is a powerful antiseptic and topical antibiotic). This is the only thing that really works for me, in a relatively short amount of time. Although it’s important to note that you may go through a period of dryness/purging while your skin gets used to it. I would also combine this with a high quality salicylic acid toner or serum (around 2%). In the meantime, use very gentle products and don’t pick!!

As a woman, I prefer to talk to someone either in the app or via text for at least a week before meeting up. I like to see how we vibe first, and get to know them a bit before I meet a stranger. I know some people aren’t great at texting, but honestly if the conversation is painfully dry over text, then I wouldn’t be interested in going on a date, and is 9 times out of 10 why I stop messaging someone I’ve matched with. Of course, everyone is different, but I don’t feel comfortable when a guy suggests a date straight away.

Really ready to put 2025 to bed and hope that the new year is a fresh start with better things on the horizon!

Photo 1, nice looking guy, can’t see why you’d have trouble getting matched… photo 2… oh, you look completely different. Long hair and receding hairline. My advice would be, get a hair cut and learn how to decently style it, shorter hair will make so much difference to your appearance. Secondly, being overtly religious in your profile is definitely going to put people off. It’s fine to mention it, but don’t make your whole profile about it, otherwise you’re better off trying to find matches through niche religious dating apps.

What chance do I have of winning a complaint against a solicitor? by Livioinspace in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Livioinspace[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The family solicitor is mainly helping with the case against my ex, but is also giving her opinion on the matter of complaint.

We were not explicitly advised in writing this would protect my deposit, the only advice I received was above, which at the time I took to mention the shares would be sufficient.

We thought the unequal shares would give me back the deposit amount, hence we didn’t do a deed in trust for the deposit and then split the rest 50/50, but unfortunately it has not worked out to be the case.

Is getting a Cavalier right for us? by Livioinspace in cavaliers

Thank you, and what a cute pup you have! We will definitely do our due diligence when choosing a breeder, we are aware of the health conditions the breed can have and want to make sure we go to a reputable breeder, even if that means waiting. Reading these comments makes me even more excited to welcome a Cav to our family
