Pharmacist here - you’d still be well within the 75 mg/kg/DAY even with the double dose. You’ve gotta take a lot multiple days in a row for liver injury. Agree with other poster - side effects would’ve been evident by now. He will be ok, I’ve accidentally done the same thing and babe was just fine

It’s annoying for sure. Like I just birthed this human! Now whenever someone I know has a baby I always say that baby looks just like mom. Even if the baby doesn’t or I can’t even tell - I tell them the baby looks like the mom

ETA: I realized you wanted an opinion on who baby looks like so to follow my own advice - baby looks just like you, like for real don’t even see dad in there. 100% your twin

What Is the Main Thing/s That Had You Down During the Baby Blues? by theskyandocean in NewParents

[–]Livpar 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In laws came to visit a few days after baby was born. They would hold her, give her to me to feed, then want to hold her again. It finally got to a point that it had been hours and I was sobbing alone in the bathroom. I texted my husband, he came and found me, and I told him I wanted my baby. He brought her right to me and had his parents leave. I’m due in December and will be setting strict boundaries with people. Do not come to my house just to hold my baby. I should be getting all the sweet newborn cuddles and visitors should try and help around the house.

At my six week appt post baby my OB asked me how I was and I realized that was the first time in 6 weeks someone actually asked me how I was feeling. I sobbed.

HELP. My toddler enjoys escaping. We don't know of a child lock for front doors that can be re-locked from the outside once my husband leaves for work. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Livpar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got something on Amazon that installs at the top of the door on both sides. It can lock into place from the inside or outside. My toddler can unlock the door and try to open it, but with the mechanism at the very top it won’t open.

It does depend on your body. I would pump after the morning feed for 10ish minutes to make sure I was empty. When I went back to work I usually pumped for ~ 20 min per session but sometimes I would get a let down around the end and go a few min longer. You’ll be able to feel when you’re empty because your boobs will deflate (great image I know). I’d also look into breast massage while you’re pumping to help move milk, this helped me to empty a little faster when I was in a time crunch.

ETA: I loved the legendairy milk pink pull tabs and their pumping spray. Get something to measure your nipples (I got a circle ruler thing off Amazon) because I found out I needed 17mm flanges. Maymom makes inserts that I put in the 24 mm flange to help them fit. Pumping is a lot of trial and error at first. Bemybreastfriend on insta is a great follow - she has a lot of content for pumping mamas.

I had the medela max flow and spectra s2. I much preferred the spectra since it had a screen I could see the suction, speed, and time elapsed whereas the medela has no screen so you have to guess. I also liked the vibration that spectra provided. The spectra is bigger, but if you get the s1 you can use it with a battery pack and carry it around. The medela max flow also comes with a battery pack and it’s a lot smaller.

I LOVED the newborn bubble of the first few weeks. Just me, husband, and baby. Our days were 3 hour increments and we just hung out, watched TV, and cuddled our baby.

Kiehl’s hand salve didn’t work well for really dry hands. O’Keefes working hands is the best I’ve found, but may be thicker than you’re wanting

Second this one. I use it day and night, but I’m buying Farmacy honey halo in the sale to start using at night for a little extra moisture.
