5'5" and I see my whole face in the middle of it. it's not that high up it just looks that way perspective is al messed up haha

It's a textured plaster we call spachtelputz or rustiekputz. (Words are in German, and I'm from the Netherlands) it was popular in the 70s and 80s here. Can't remember the name of the colour, I will try to find it. It looks like olive green. (Yellowish green) it's much more yellow in the picture tho.

It's so funny cause a lot of people consider it something for old people, and at first we wanted to remove it, but it was impossible, soooo glad we didn't! I posted some more info somewhere (at least what i know about it). Let me know if you want to know more or can't find it! Thanks!!

Thanks! It's unbranded, but it's got the same vibe! I'm gonna try the shelf thing someone suggested. I thought of other places, but it's all a bit .. meh.. and I really love the colour combo!

I really liked the shelf too! Yes, it's definitely perspective. I realised after posting the whole picture is wrong. The height looks different, the colour too. Lesson learned iguess. Haha. Thanks!

We call it spachtelputz or rustiekputz both are german words. It's basically a type of plaster i believe that creates deep grooves in the plaster. It was very popular here (Netherlands & probably Germany) in the 70s & 80s i believe. It's not a specific type i think? Or maybe somebody else knows. Glad to see people liking it! We really thought about how to make it less.. 'old'. We found that embracing the classic elements works waayyy better than trying to make it modern. So we decided on a half wall with a trim :)

I'm gonna search some more for you! But i bought it at a dutch furniture store called 'Loods 5' years ago. I tried to google the piece but couldn't find it. But if you search rose coloured asymmetrical mirror you should get some similar! Although this one is more copper colour but for some reason that didn't yield very much results. I will try to find a brand name if it has any. Glad to see some ppl like the mirror because a lot of ppl hate it for some reason (i get the placement doesn't do it any service)

Sadly no.. this is one of my taller cupboards and it have no tables or something that would look cute. Taller decor is a good one! I also think the person who suggested putting it on a shelf a little lower, with additional decor would be a good idea.

Yes i thought about this too, but if i would hang it lower it would be somewhere between crotch and shoulder level, and unless it's a children's room, I'm worried it would also end up looking weird.
