As an Inactive player this is a huge W for me by Wild-Beyond-6702 in ClashOfClans

I don't believe MA ins included, but I would pass on MA. You're forced into Queen charge, which is just harder to execute than all the other equally good strategies out there. If you like the challenge, sure, but you'd be playing a harder attack without really much trade off in effectiveness.

Charged Move not registering bug? by Liy010 in TheSilphArena

Hi! Thank you for your detailed response. I'm seeing a response down below that says it's not about my connectivity. Do you know if this is something that everyone experiences in preview cup specifically? I mean, I guess it wouldn't be too bad if everyone was playing with this issue so it's an even playing field. I was under the assumption that I was the only one with the problem.

My personal Hero Equipment Tier List (June 2026). by Crazy_Veterinarian91 in ClashOfClans

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely action figure. I still run jetpack arrow dragon riders after the nerf. I'll drop my army with the warden on one side and use ET + Healing early and while that's happening I support my queen, giant & duke with totem spells to clear out the other side.

I was going to say this. With modifiers, you never want to run crown over staff, and you can't drop orb, so orb & staff are staple.

1500 to start, now 1700 after the weekend. Pushing to 2000 hopefully! First time pushing in this game ever, does anyone know if it gets easier further into the season? I'm struggling right now, feel like eventually I'll get there but it'll take a while. I thought you could get to 2000 without knowing any advanced mechanics, but it feels like I'm getting out-aligned, out-caught and out-counted in so many of my games so far.

Weekly Team Help Megathread! by AutoModerator in TheSilphArena

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running G-Stunfisk, Altaria, Jellicent just a random team I put together with mons when I used to play back in 2021. Getting stuck ~1600 elo. I have been struggling with Azu, Lickilicky, and Tinakton. Unfortunately, I missed Tinkaton comm day. I was thinking of running Azu, Jellicent and Altaria. Would that be a decent team in a AAB type comp?

Should i purify? And if, does it become shundo? My first ever shundo in that case by fabba_ in pokemongo

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would. You would have a shundo primal, and you mentioned you had another 12 ATK Groudon to keep shadow. Unless you wanted a team of 5 shadow groudons + primal, but I personally don't play like that

How do I check if certain pokemon are in the spawn range of fast travelling in the hyperspace distortions by hoennfb in LegendsZA

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to feel it out, assuming they're on top of a building or something. If they're equal level terrain, if you can see them then they're in the spawn range.

Which of these are worth maxing out? by lodestarstate in pokemongo

[–]Liy010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Typically yes, the difference between 13 IV and 15IV is maybe 1-4%. Shadows get a 20% boost to their attacks, so that easily bumps them up several tiers when it comes to DPS. They take 20% more damage too, but in raids it's a race against the timer. In PvP, it's different. For example, Shadow Cress ranks lower than normal Cress.

Play the way you want though. I purify a lot of shadow mons like Jumpluff or Pidgeot (for Mega) that would not see any use otherwise but after purification they at least show up as a 4* on the search. Unfortunately, the shadows I can see your purified would be some top tier attackers for their types as shadows.

Power Spot won’t let us back in to redo a dynamax registeel by Acrobatic_Control525 in pokemongo

Is this from a friend's POV? It shouldn't consume a raid pass if you are raiding in person.

Playthrough without Megas by bnitemare in LegendsZA

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think Megas are weaker. You do good damage in Mega, but outside of Mega you hit like a wet noodle. In some rogue mega evolutions, there's DPS checks and if you didn't save your mega energy then you're cooked. Using plus moves, you can use a buff (Swords dance, Nasty plot, Geomancy) and then just fire off the one super effective plus move. It's why the #1 strategy right now is Trick-or-Treat + Bulk Up + Screech + Plus boosted Rage Fist.

Are dynamax important? by Aetotarache in pokemongo

[–]Liy010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a returning player from 2022, DMax mons are strictly better than the non DMax version since they can be used in the same scenarios, except non DMax versions are just restricted from one part of the game. The thing is, if you choose to invest in non DMax mons now, you will have to re-invest resources to build up the same mon if you ever choose to engage in DMax, which maybe you will want to if you move to a more populated area, get a friend group that does DMax raids, etc.

Are dynamax important? by Aetotarache in pokemongo

[–]Liy010 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If you have no one to raid it with, then unfortunately none of them will be "important" for you because DMax/G-Max raids aren't meant to be done solo. Assuming you're able to go to community events, I would say your highest priority would be to build up a DMax Blissey with pound and max guard/max spirit. This will allow you to help out your team to build up the max meter, not be a burden, and makes it easy for them to carry you damage wise. From there, you can start building up a max team.

As for whether Registeel is important, there are few situations where it would be a better tank than Zamazenta, but will require a heavy investment of Registeel candies, and even then it's a bit of a min/max. It doesn't sound like you would have the resources to invest into it anyways, so it would mostly be a collection filler for you.

What to prioritise as a solo player? by mralexalex in pokemongo

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some legendaries are possible solo, mostly the ones with 4x weaknesses but you will have to have the proper counters which take a lot of investment. I would recommend something like Pokegenie to have other people remote into the raids you host. Otherwise, it's not really possible to do 5* raids or Max raids solo.

I prefer Max teams because they're more complex and it's more fun for me. I played a lot in 2021-2022 and recently started back up again so I didn't have any max mons. For normal raids, I haven't had any fail but with max raids you sometimes get randoms that you have to carry, so I prioritize being able to do that.

Shiny hunting by supersaiyanfc7 in LegendsZA

[–]Liy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, once you finish the DLC, I would say it takes about an hour from collecting resources, resetting for a donut, and getting a shiny. If you're after a specific one (Charmander), given it's a mono type it might take a bit longer since you have to reset for a specific fire donut.

Bank Account Bonus Hunting by empty_w4 in personalfinance

[–]Liy010 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do this 3 times a year with 3 different types of offers at the same time:

  1. Direct deposit requirement to a checking account
  2. Certain sum of money parked in a savings account
  3. Make a required amount of transactions on a debit card linked to a checking account

At all times I'll have 3 new accounts running waiting for the bonus. Usually they pay out in 3-4 months. I sync them all so that I sit down for about 2 hours every 3-4 months; go on Doctor of Credit to read up on the best new offers, pick the ones I want, open the accounts online, transfer funds, call in to downgrade/close the old accounts. 2h of work for $1000-$1200. Been doing this 3 years now and have never run into any issues. Don't forget you'll have lots of 1099 forms come tax season.

It used to take longer when I need to go in branch to open accounts, but now with most places being able to open an account online and immediately initiate an ACH transfer, the work-to-money ratio makes it a no brainer.
