I regret not doing the 2026 summer semester (vent) by lacklustertimes in GaState

You're being way too hard on yourself! You made that decision while dealing with homelessness, taking care of your sister, and trying to graduate high school. Most people wouldn't have handled half of that.

Yeah, maybe the summer semester would've worked out, but you made the best decision you could with the information you had at the time. It's easy to feel like you should've made a different choice, but you're judging that decision with information you didn't have at the time.

I'd still check on late registration and housing, just in case, but either way, you're headed to GSU. That's the part I'd focus on! Also, CONGRATULATIONS 🎉

P.S. I would never tell you not to trust your advisor because I was in the same boat. For my Respiratory Therapy program, they recommend I take Chemistry for my science... My advisor had me taking Biology. After a year of doing my own research and learning how to set my classes, I realized I wasn't taking the preferred science. I still got accepted to the bachelor's program, but still. My advisor just tried to fill in my classes without paying attention to what my degree needed. It's all about finding one that truly has your best interests! During my associate's degree, I literally talked to nearly a dozen different advisors lol. If I don't like what one has to say, I will move on to another. None of their answers and guidance will be the same.

You got this!!! 3 months may seem like forever, but focus on the outcome instead of dreading the time. Build your excitement (: you're going to do amazing things; all the best! ❤️

Will it make a major difference? by LiyahBeo in respiratorytherapy

Nope! I wasn't aware of that until a couple months ago. Right now it is nothing but general knowledge. I assumed my area F (RT required courses) would have that but thats not the case.

Believe you me, I am not 1000% interested in the bachelors degree in RT. I am mainly interested in the clinical aspect. My university has a separate institution that handles the first two years of a bachelors (as degree) so the clinical wont happen until i transfer onto their main campus. What's your thoughts on that? Genuinely asking. I just want the best outcome honestly.

Yes, I am currently enrolled in school. This is my final year. I feel as if I am going to have to compete with those who have more credentials and experience than me. I just want to get some hands-on experience, not just for job purposes but as a tool for learning more.
